Yes for the gameweek that is currently playing out, not the upcoming one. Consensus view was to either WC in Gameweek 28 or wait till 31 to setup for Bench Boost in DGW36. But I had a solid team in 28, so that didnt really fit my template. Then as this gameweek 29 approached, I saw a pretty good path of (1) putting together a really strong gameweek 29 squad, (2) that will also have 11 players for blank gameweek 30....(3) while also capitalizing on player price falls+rises. Now I just have to use my regular transfers from now to DGW36 to make sure I have as strong a bench boost as those waiting to Wildcard. Consensus view on Free Hit is use it in GW33 and then either GW30 or GW37 if you still have the extra omicron free hit they gave us.
Both my captain iheanacho and vice captain Castagne on the bench today. This is great. Picked a good week to use Bench Boost though since my starters have 3 points and my bench 13 so far
got up to 78k with another Free Hit and Bench Boost but this season will be a big whatif i didnt botch my Captaincy every week

Looked at your squad and not that bad (1) you want as little salary sitting on your bench each week as possible. Generally only your 1st off bench will be in contention to get points. You got a lot right now. (2) Defense is great, you want Wingbacks who have high up the pitch positioning/heatmaps. Unless you fancy a CB who is a threat on set pieces. Then you balance that with quality of squad and ability to get Clean Sheets. So either Top 6 types or the Burnley/Brighton type who have sound defensive systems. Think like a Livramento/Lamptey type. In this match, Neco Williams is consistently playing in the final third. (3) Midfield seems to be your weakness. Not a matter of you being bad, just taking the wrong guys. You want the talisman on each squad. Teams will have several great midfielders, in FPL youre trying to identify who is most central involvement to a teams offense. Sorta like in fantasy NFL tring to find the receiver who will get the most targets. I.e. Neto is probably more integral than Podence + does another 5.5 priced MID drive his team's engine more than Saint Maximim? JWP does that...but do you want to invest in a Soton side who arent offensively fluent. So opposite of Defense...youre trying to find the talisman while simultaneously get one in a side who plays a more open style; like Big12 versus Big10.
I felt dumb for having Declan Rice on my team. Then I saw him lining up for a PK and I felt smart. Then he fucked it up and I felt dumb again. What a rollercoaster of emotion.
