Liked for proper usage of EDT

 

I deal with the US time zones a lot in correspondence for scheduling and dont know S vs D, so I just use the first letter (eg. E or C) to avoid making a mistake or worse, looking dumb.

 

S - Standard non daylight savings time - winter time
D - daylight savings time - summer time

To avoid it, you can just say ET, CT, MT, PT

 

I thought the S stood for stupid time, because this whole daylight savings concept is stupid.

 

If S in EST meant stupid, wouldn't that mean that you only like when it’s daylight savings?

The proper defense was that the D in EDT stood for dumb.
