Ferentz and Fitzgerald are going to be jealous.
Let's hope they get 10 year deals too
I vaguely remember audio in which he lambasts the fan base for expecting him to be Paterno 2.0 (minus the scandal obviously)
I doubt a reunion will be happening there.
So the animosity goes both ways?
From what I remember, he did a pretty good job, especially considering the sanctions he had to deal with and the players that split.
He was good considering the circumstances and it’s not like there was a line of candidates wanting that job at the time.
With that being said, he seems to have an abrasive, no-nonsense personality and totally neglected OL recruiting while he was in State College. Also, I’m not sure he enjoyed some of the extra college football stuff, ie recruiting, boosters, etc.
All in all, I think both parties benefitted from his time there, but I also think both parties moved on from each other at the right time.
Rhule > munchak > who cares
BOB isn’t exactly having a stellar year in Tuscaloosa this year relative to expectations.
Our OL is the worst of the Saban era, and his play calling often exacerbates it. He seemingly calls games like he still has Deshaun and Nuke, and unlike Sark or Lane doesn’t feed the hot hand or seemingly adapt if/when the game plan goes to shit. He’s been frustrating but I think he’s also helped Bryce a lot. Right now, I think he and Saban might agree on a mutual parting of ways this offseason.
He made Hackenburg look like a QB
No, Allen Robinson did
Not that I’m convinced it’ll be enough for RU to pull an upset, but it does make this game a little more interesting…hopefully
Pretty sad that Franklion has to resort to these tactics against Rutgers
Lol. To think y’all pretended we was sandbagging and then covered the 3 TD spread in the first quarter.
I just appreciate MSU doing their part to make the Buckeyes overconfident heading into next week. Now we'll surely win!
They're getting out all their TDs and showing their best plays! Suckers.
Over isn’t looking so bad, only need like 100 more lol
I would like to thank this game for ensuring I don't get my hopes up in any way over the next week. We're going to get stomped again, just like MSU.
badgers getting worked over by adrian martinez and letting iowa backdoor their way to the ohio state death march is some disgusting stuff
Braelon Allen swoon
He's a fucking wagon
Frost giving them absolutely no buffer with the clock
Some terrible Frost coaching between time management and not having Austin on the field.
Nebraska WR needs to sell that contact
Honestly who gives a rats ass
Pretty obvious PI. I think everybody knew they weren’t going to call it.
Most NFL RBs aren’t as strong as him and he’s 17, it’s ridiculous.

After seeing Christian Veilleux yesterday it's amazing to me Roberson was the backup vs Iowa. On one hand you have a guy with better control throwing the ball than the starter, on the other hand you have a guy who only sailed balls and isn't loud enough to communicate the cadence. Yes, I know, Iowa on the road vs SUNJ at home, that doesn't account for the disparity in physical tools between Roberson and Veilleux.
Also makes me wonder what kind of bullshit practices Franklin runs. How was this not seen earlier?
these are very good questions
he often states his loyalty is his great strength and that’s probably not wrong, but it is almost as often a great weakness.
The MSU 247 site deleted the game thread
Why? What was being posted
they’re a bunch of bitches. That’s probably why.
Sometimes you just have to burn the tape
They ate the game thread for lunch.
Central Reservation was good, Pickles was fun, didn’t make it to Champs
Iowa at Nebraska -3.5
Ohio State at Michigan +7.5
Maryland at Rutgers +1.5
Penn State at MSU +1
Northwestern at Illinois -6.5
Indiana at Purdue -15
Wisconsin at Minnesota +6.5
7.5? Genuinely surprised after yesterday. That should go up to 10 during the week.
Michigan will need to throw the ball. Both Penn State and Purdue attacked us well through the air.
Our defense isn’t great, but our DL has been very good at times and we largely have limited opposing RBs. I know Michigan’s strength is power running, but that’s not what hurts our defense.
On defense, if you can’t pressure Stroud, it will be over early. If you can, then it’s a game.
I think that last part will be what makes the difference. It’s been interesting to watch UM scheme it’s DL into coverage more the past couple of weeks to take away crossing routes and quick hitters on the perimeter. Of course, that also resulted in Hutchinson and Ojabo having no sacks against Maryland. UM’s only possible chance in this one is finding a way to get to Stroud early and throw him off - that would maybe keep them in it.
yeah Michigan seems to be able to pressure the qb. Every team has against us but they had Clifford the most shook other than maybe Iowa after cliff was hurt
Iowa, you’re 9-2 and an underdog to a team who is 1-7 in the Big Ten.
Herb Burdette’s Weekly B1G Self Loathing Rankings:
1. Nebraska. The consistency of this team is amazing. 3-8 Nebraska lost by a single score or less for the 7th time this season, tying a NCAA record in that regard (fact checked). No one has any doubt that Nebraska now will beat 17th ranked Iowa to close the year and frustrate everyone into the Winter with what could have been.
2. MSU. It turns out they weren’t sand bagging either. MSU came into this game with the nation’s worst pass defense and did not disappoint. CJ Stroud threw for 393 yards and 6 TDS by halftime. It was 10 years and $95 million well spent.
3. Penn State. The first 18 of the first 19 possessions of the Penn State-Rutgers game ended in punts or half time before Penn State feasted like a fat man walking into a Golden Corral. This is also probably 10 years and $95 million of contract extension well spent.
4. Indiana. The Hoosiers moved to 0-8 in the Big Ten and 2-9 overall. There was a point in this season when this team was ranked, as long ago as that seems.
5. Michigan. The line is +8 and the opponent is Ohio State. ESPN Gameday will be in town. Ohio State has scored on its last 14 first half possessions, TDs on 13/14.
Still no need for MSU on this list
