Wisconsin dismissed Berger from the team
it becomes hard to both support child rape and this football team on days like today
What's the story there? Being a shit because of playing time?
Not sure yet, thought is drug tests, skimping/skipping practices and training and the like
6. Ohio State
7. Penn State
6. Ohio State
8. Penn state
Allar is going to be a good one.
Is Clifford expected back for a super senior year? Yikes if not.
Not sure. It seems like Allar will start next year or we will be an attractive portal spot if not.
MSU at Indiana +3.5
Nebraska at Minnesota +2
Rutgers at NW even
Purdue at Iowa -12.5
Army at Wisconsin -11.5
Penn State, Maryland, Ohio State, Michigan, and Illinois on bye week.
Husk/Goph matchup looking like the compelling B1G game of the week
Narrator: it won’t be
The game was 17-10 by the time Roberson came in. One possession game and the play Clifford was hit on was close to being his 3rd int. He was looking worse and worse after the 1st quarter and needed to run more to move the chains. He was gonna keep getting hit playing like that. I don't think Iowa wins if Clifford stays in, but to say Iowa loses by more than a TD with him is kind of a stretch. Clifford was due for more turnovers the way he was playing. PSU not having a run game is what did them in. Clifford threw so many awful passes when under pressure. Just look at his first play. Brian Ferentz sucks so much for not turning that into 7.
Iowa has only allowed like 17 2nd half points with 14 of those basically being garbage TDs. Phil Parker is really good at in-game adjustments.
Feels like the annual inexplicable win by Purdue
Iowa was getting shredded pretty good when Cliff was in the game. We had receivers running free all night, our backup is just complete ass and couldn’t hit any of them. Great win. PSU has plenty of issues and will lose more games, but I think it is very reasonable to think PSU wins that game relatively comfortably with Clifford. Not just scoring more points, but also not getting dominated by field position since we did absolutely nothing with the backup. The yards per play difference was like 5.8 with Cliff and 2 with Roberson. I think the total yardage was like 200+ to 70 at time of injury. End of the day it doesn’t matter… we haven’t recruited QBs and it was an embarrassment how bad and unprepared the backup was and that’s on the staff.
obviously Iowa will walk to the B1G title game. For your sake I would hope you play someone other than Ohio State
Herb Burdette’s Weekly B1G Self Loathing Rankings:
1. Nebraska. Some artists work with paint on canvas. Some work with musical notes and write for symphonies. Scott Frost works with a football and the fourth quarter against Michigan proved once again that he is a master at his craft. A great coach put his players in position to succeed, and Frost knew exactly whose number to call for a critical fumble to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This Nebraska team is on a truly historic run.
2. Penn State. When starting QB Sean Clifford went down, Penn State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich had a plan. His problem was that his backup QB Ta’Quan Roberson was completely incapable of executing. Roberson had Joe Bausermanesque stat line, 7/21 34 yards 0 TDS and 2 ints. The Nittany Lions are mostly dead if Clifford is dead, but get a bye and then Illinois.
3. Maryland. There was a time when Maryland was 4-0, right outside the top 25. In the last two weeks, they have been outscored 117-31.
4. Illinois. After being shut out this week by Wisconsin, the year end matchup with Northwestern is looking like the battle for the Big Ten’s worst.
5. Rutgers. This team keeps trying to get our attention. It’s going to take some effort to avoid Minnesota taking the number five spot this week.
Penn state too low
There's no way Nebraska will be knocked from #1 in those rankings anytime soon
I feel bad for huskers fans. They find new and excruciating ways to lose seemingly every week
But, it’s always the same culprit. Martinez stinks.
But he's also the guy that keeps us in games and is our only real playmaker.
Our QBs have been high risk/reward for like at least the last 11ish years.
The Bengals invented a new one yesterday
It’s remarkable. You could change the result of a single play in each of their losses and they likely are undefeated right now.
Since the Illinois game, I think Nebraska has covered every game against the spread. Could argue they should have beat both Michigan schools. I think the Husks could get Iowa on Black Friday.
In one of Mike Riley's seasons we lost on a last second play/field goal in like 5 games. Maybe his first season?
BYU - Hail Mary as time expired
Miami - FG in OT
Illinois - TD with ~3 seconds left
Wisconsin - FG with 4 seconds left
NW - Miss 2 pt conversion to tie then let NW run out the clock
Not last second but just constant dick stepping
Iowa - Outgained them by over 200 yards but lost by 8 points to an undefeated team because
How do you avoid the alcohol abuse, or maybe you don’t?
Have you ever visited the husk thread? Almost all of us drink too much and hate our team and ourselves for watching the games and caring
And look who coaches the Bengals
We’ve been doing this for decades
Why 8 false starts?
Because 9 seemed excessive?
Roberson doesn’t know the snap count
Backup QB / cadence was all fucked up when combined with the crowd noise. All 8 happened after Clifford came out.
Did Penn State have some QBs transfer? Why is there no backup?
Levis is starting at UK another scrub went to OU and will never play. Rahne sucked ass at recruiting QBs. We missed on transfer guys we wanted.
Well, at least Joel Klatt had nothing to say about it during the broadcast.
In the name of sportsmanship and B1G solidarity, Michigan would like to offer Penn State a lightly used Alan Bowman.
Be forewarned: Bowman is responsible for 50% of our interceptions in 0.0004% of our pass attempts.
Sweet summer child
Fleck did not disclose the specific injury or how serious it is (which is his consistent disclosure for injuries) saying it was the family it player’s choice to disclose.
Fresh from the Big Ten front office, this week’s press release highlights!
This week is the first poll since the AP poll was established in 1936 that five B1G teams have made the top 10.
Iowa has won its last six games against ranked opponents, which is Iowa’s longest streak since 1960.
Against Rutgers, MSU became just the fifth team in FBS history to have a 300 yard passer, 200 yard receiver, and 200 yard rusher in a single game.
Wisconsin has held 4 of its last 5 opponents to less than 50 yards rushing.
But he doesn’t
That’s a terrible spot to advertise for anything CFB related as NYC couldn’t give less of a shit about the sport
Sure but how many of the passersby were wearing Michigan hats?
