Also I'd like to congratulate our #Texas AandM Aggies friends for entering their first jimbo wandering eyes season. Not sure if that dog is gonna hunt, but he'll probably at least be annoying
we interviewed him in like 2018 and he apparently bombed it from an understanding-scheme-standpoint but legendary recruiter
We were interested at the same time because Coombs had just left for the Titans. It just seems that he’s always rumored to be interested in leaving LSU but he’s been there all but three years since 2006.
Just don’t see any way Jimbo leaves A&M for LSU. They cannot compete with the amount of money A&M gives him for facilities and everything else.
I think ed made more than jimbo, so straight line pay probably won't be an issue. Jimbo just wants Jimmy's. I guess the question is whether he can get more of those through facilities or being in the best talent hotbed in the world. I personally think it's a couple of years too early to move, but life is weird
The odd thing is, for all of Jimbo's recruiting success in his short time at A&M, he's completely neglected the state of Louisiana. Sumlin, Sherman, Slocum all had way more emphasis on LA than Jimbo has had. We do have a 2023 QB commit from there, so maybe things are changing. Not sure if there's some bad blood across the state from the 2017/2018 coaching searches, but I thought there would be much more effort for the 2nd tier Louisiana guys that can be valuable players.
I enjoy seeing so many fans thinking their team will lure him away from LSU with some BS CO-DC title Dudes never leaving LSU
Writers for recruiting websites in the south are contractually obligated to mention him as a potential asst hire during any coaching search
And fans they see the success he’s had at LSU and think “oh we want him but don’t want to make him DC so let’s just give him a CO-DC title where he won’t be DC but he’ll jump at the offer” I have no doubt teams have tried and he has never seemed to legitimately have interest in leaving
There should be a new opening in the next couple of hours after Rolovich gets canned for being a shitpitting anti-vax psycho.
Would that be a for-cause termination and the loss of buyout money? That would be an all-time goof if so
if memory serves there's a TMB poster that knows Rolovich either directly or a friend of a friend kind of a deal...wish I could remember who it was
its a good thing he wasn’t good at wazzu because our boosters would consider this a huge selling point
Bruce Feldman was on SiriusXM a little while ago and said LSU/Woodward will try to get Dabo He also said Kiffin isn’t high on their board and that some very powerful/influential people with ties to the program want Tucker, but it’ll be hard to get him to jump again so soon.
From WSU site: "Take this all for what its worth. Have heard these same things from multiple sources inside the FOB. Rolo is gone. That part is certain. Wont drag on. Other coaches have been fired There is a meeting with members of the program as I write. There is a meeting between the players and (AD) Chun at 530. Members of the team leadership council have notified Chun the players are considering a boycott for Saturdays game. (EDIT. since I posted this CFC stated in another thread that this is unlikely to happen) Again take it all for what it's worth but sounding like things are pretty wild in the building right now."
yup that’s me :) I’m actually going to be having dinner with him in December will be interesting to get the real perspective from him, still weird bc he’s not really this kind of guy I also know who gave him the religious exemption smh
funny u say that !? Rolo and I have a mutual friend who worked in the CU athletic dept and he tried to get an interview a few years back, CU was actually a job he wanted the most
Yeah I try not to say too much because u know I’ve only know him for 34 years and he is a friend and u guys don’t a thing about him in reality so I don’t want to argue his character with a bunch of people…..but I get it weird hill to die on? Especially he’s got them on a roll
I remember you saying that. I'm 100% down to fire KD but we're pry stuck with him for a couple more years.
I want to know who these assistant coaches are that are going down with the ship. That’s an even more insane hill to die on.
