not really sweating this hire for that reason. Pry's a D guy, he'll be all over that side of the ball in practice and games I'm sure. this guy should, in theory, be cheap so really hoping they throw down serious cash for the offensive side of the ball.
OSU responding to Oregon/UM running them over by hiring the guy best known for running a 3-3-5 in the Big 12 would have been very ballsy.
Heacock shifted to that style because of how the big 12 plays, he was a 4-2-5 and 4-3 guy prior to isu.
Heacock has bounced around the B list of assistants for a long time without landing. Tressel, Fickell, Dantonio basically no one in the Tressel universe took him except Hazell at Kent and Purdue. Even the Les Miles, Lloyd Carr line of Michigan guys who were there when Heacock was a GA never picked him up after Cameron had him at Indiana.
A bar in Lincoln needs to create a specialty drink called the Frosty Whipple. Whether it’s celebrating their success or numbing the pain watching that offense, either way they’ll sell.
so I guess by "family related" it meant he Sprewell'd Pitt and had to go somewhere that he could make enough money to feed his family.
Justin Slopkins... Kalani Sitake - If my information is correct, he already interviewed. And it went bad. Really bad. Lack of organization, vision, etc. Again, if my info is right, he's probably off the list.
Whipple looks like he’s ready for a massive heart attack. One strenuous shit and that may be it for him.
potential asshole post: iirc he was a reach at the time for byu but he was the only mormon available.
It is. That's what the luggage tag says. Must be a typo. I mean, the dog's dead. Show him some grace in typing with his little paws.
I hate that you guys are hiring him. I think he was Pry's first choice as DC, so we ended up with coach Norbit, who by all accounts isn't half the recruiter that Dex is. That sucks. Then, at the very least, he will have y'all recruiting much, much better than Bronco. That also sucks. So yeah, both of these things suck for VT, and I'm pissed that Bronco stepped down this season and not in 2020 or 2022. How Poindexter actually is as a coach is TBD, maybe he's a great head whistle, maybe not, but UVA recruiting will certainly pick back up.
