It’ll obviously be worth more money down the road with expansion so why secure contracts now.
The championship game is still the championship game, though, right? Like the Super Bowl doesn't become more valuable because you add a wild card game, I presume. Even if the overall package increases. And you don't change the final location because you add games at the beginning of the playoffs.
They have multiple dates bookmarked so they clearly have expansion in mind. I'm not sure I agree that they don't have any idea of what expansion looks like.
The longer you wait the better the bidding war. Not like it needs to be decided more than a year out logistically.
I'm not gonna act like I know everything that goes into the planning, but I assume they plan all these major events 4-5 years in advance for a reason. We already know the next 4 Super Bowl locations, the next 5 Final Four locations.
Sure you can squeeze a few more dollars out, but it's a partnership and the localities want to plan shit to make it as good an experience as possible. Houston built a badass hotel downtown to go with the Super Bowl in 2017. They did the same when they hosted the 2004 Super Bowl. Super Bowls are bigger than CFP games, but the idea is basically the same. You need a lot more than 12 months do things of that magnitude.
The further in advance you do these things the more potential bidders there are.
What's Vegas like on a Monday
Vegas doesn't really have days of the week.
Thanks fellas, I have not been to Las Vegas.
Depends upon which convention or trade show is in town that week.
Pimps and Hoes Ball is the best one.
oregon state DESTROYS football stadium
You should change that but don’t plan on your team playing there in January 2025
Same with NOLA. I better just check it out and not wait for the gamecocks to make the sugar bowl
You've never been to Las Vegas or New Orleans? You should change that soon.
My travel list is pretty dec, but yeah those are two of the biggies I'm still missing from USA.
Places I've traveled in relation to cfb: Clemson, Raleigh, Knoxville, Nashville, Charlotte, Birmingham, Tampa, Atlanta.
about fucking time
My biggest are Denver and Miami probably. Bunch of midwest/rustbelt cities I haven't more than laid over or driven through.
I don't think anything is ever going to top Dublin for football travels in terms of uniqueness.
I wish they'd put a bowl game in Europe or somewhere cool overseas. I'd be one of the few South Carolina alumni interested in attending.
If I could get a free trip to any 5 US cities I haven't been to: Las Vegas, New Orleans, San Francisco, Portland, Santa Fe
Both are worth visiting for sure but unless you're a big gambler I think New Orleans is a way better time than Vegas.
Just missing State College, PA.
Feel like Jazz Fest is the best time to go in terms of seeing music and having big crowds but not as crazy as Mardi Gras or New Years.
Marked that one off this year. Grabbed some beers at a cool beer bar with some pretty cool Penn State guys.
Lmao, will create an imbalance
Wow yeah definitely wouldn’t want college football becoming unbalanced.
just a terrible decision to show dump this kind of vulnerability
SCARED LITTLE BITCH SABAN
God, I'd hate to see what it would be like if saban figured out a way to get players paid
There will probably always be room for improving the NIL setup, especially right now when few rules exist, but I guess I missed when Saban urged national legislation on coaching salaries, facility improvements, ticket prices, staffing limits, tax deductions on contributions to the athletic department and all the other items he directly benefits from that contribute to the imbalance that exists today.
Congrats Daniel Ocean
love his toughness. Program is in complete shambles right now so I’m shocked he is coming back. We need to do something about Kelly ASAP. We are just a complete shit show if it wasn’t just a game it would honestly depress me.
#Notre Dame Fighting Irish
i guess they don't make funny memes for teams that haven't won since the 30s
You need South California playing Rutgers for the eyeballs Pawwwwlllllllllllll
Congrats on the sex. I hope it was consensual.
