actually last name is thompson just had a massive brain fart still a badass, non-cac CF with that name is about as cool as it gets
he’s draft eligible so we are only getting him for this year. sucks that him and sabato both will probably only play for us for a year he’s going to rocket up the draft board
Hogs walked off on SEMO in 10 innings. Sluggish start falling behind 3-0 in the first. Christian Franklin and Brady Slavens hit solo homers to cut the lead to 3-2, but SEMO added two in the T8 to make it 5-2. We get the first two on in the 9th and then hit an RBI single to make it 5-3. With two on and one out, Robert Moore hit one deep to RF that hit the very top of the fence over the RF glove and came back into play. The runners held up so he only got a single out of it. No idea how that wasn’t a walk off HR after it was reviewed. We end up adding two more runs on a walk and sacrifice fly to tie it and force it to extras, and then won it in the bottom of the 10th on a bases loaded single. We move to 4-0 with three of those wins coming in the 8th inning or later. Jaxon Wiggins is going to be a star for us. He’s got Rocker type stuff.
I watched the last four innings of that game. Not sure how y’all won with the way y’all played up until the 9th. But that infield single to lead off the bottom of the 9th set the tone. Also don’t know how Moore’s ball comes back into play. And Wiggins is filthy. He’s going to get a lot of attention when SEC play comes around.
Looks like San Francisco lost game one of a 4-game series with Cal last night, 4-2. Cal lost 3 games to Pacific last weekend. I don't think that USF series loss is gonna look too good for UCLA by season's end
don’t think we did it that much. i wanna say while listening the other day the announcer said it’s usually 10 conference series and it’s 12-13 this year i hate expansion. i miss home and homes every year in the acc especially in bball
Would've been nice to do it last weekend against better pitching but it's good to see UF up 8-0 on Samford after 5 and Jacob Young has maintained his 637 day hitting streak
We also gave up 12 last Friday night to FAU and 20 runs Saturday. Also got blown out by Stetson mid week. Not sure what to think. Pitching looked good tonight though and the guy that started tonight wasn’t bad last week either, just had no help on defense.
No, just weekend series vs every team except one in the conference Turns out to be like 48 games, with the option for two series out of conference Pretty rough, no warmup games at all
Wouldn’t really think anything of it had that pitcher tugged at his pitching chart after almost every pitch. Hope we come out hot tomorrow and throw a few gestures toward there dugout if our own
Is Grand Canyon a weird western version of Liberty? Watching them vs Oregon St right now, their stadium looks pretty impressive
I think Miami is about to lose, down 5-3 to VT going into the 9th 5 or 6 hits for UM....bats are dead cold
Thomas Schultz, a 6'6 225 SO RHP from PA, got tagged with the loss tonight for VU. He went 4.1 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 4 SO/2 BB on 75 pitches. Ethan Smith surrendered a 2-run HR in T9. Dores pitchers combined for 11 SO/3 BB. So hopefully with some life from the bats and a little better luck on balls in play they can get their revenge tomorrow kinda. They aren't anywhere near as hateful as far as I know. But they were the only for-profit DI school. Believe they've transitioned away from that. But yeah they had a lot of money flowing into their athletics facilities. Pac-12 schools weren't allowed to play them a while back
UCSB scored 4 runs in T6 and kept Pepperdine off the board the rest of the way to win game one of their series 7-6. They play twice tomorrow Cal on top of USF 3-1 in T7 Stanford needs to bounce back this season. They beat Santa Clara 10-7 last night in their opener and are on top 2-0 early tonight
Right, I remember seeing their commercials a few years ago. I'm sure it's not very difficult to be more ethical than Liberty's real estate hedge fund. The facility does look impressive and I guess they've got some talent.
Western Illinois went 0-13 last year before the season got scrapped. They beat Louisville 8-3 tonight. Looks like the ACC saw a lot of shit weather Cal Poly and USC tied 1-1 in the 8th. Irvine leading UCLA 3-1 in T7
Meat continuing the family tradition of making highly questionable decisions, most notably subbing in a career .149 hitter with the bases loaded and 2 outs.
Dons scored two runs in T9 to tie it 3-3 in Berkeley. Then Cal catcher Cole Elvis hit a walk-off HR in B9 to end it 4-3 Cal Poly with a run in T8 and they beat USC 2-1. Mustangs had lost 3 out of 4 to Nevada last week UCLA scored 2 runs in B7, it's now 3-3 in T8 between them and Irvine Hawaii and ASU tied 2-2 in B8
Man UCF hit a bomb in the 8th to take a 5-3 lead but Ole Miss walks it off in the 9th to take game 2. Game 3 in an hour.
