Something fans of P5 programs probably take for granted: 4-man umpire crews at every single game 3-man crew all weekend for the biggest series the MAC will have all season
In a walk off. I think it was gunner hellstrom with the game winner. Don’t think he’s played at all this year.
Carter Young had another HR today and it was apparently a towering one wow he has incredibly quick hands
big blow for UCLA here hard to get upset about a close loss to a tough team after pulling out a close win vs another tough team earlier in the day. Would probably have used up all our positive variance if we won that one Michigan took their series from MSU with a 3-1 W today. B1G race will be really close down the stretch Northeastern with a couple wins over Hofstra today. They're 26-6 and 14-0 in CAA play. Good grief OM evened their series with A&M with a 12-7 W MSU took their series from So Car with a 9-6 W. Cocks are now 27-17 and 11-12 in SEC play. They might end up a 3 seed after looking like a potential host a couple weeks ago Richard Fitts dominated LSU in a 2-1 Auburn W to even that series and deal LSU's postseason hopes a significant blow. 6 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 7 SO/1 BB UCLA evened their series with Wash St. ASU evened their series with Cal. Sun Devils now 26-15 and 11-9 in Pac-12 play. They finish up with series vs OSU/USC/UCLA. Tracy Smith and ASU being on the bubble have become a tradition during his tenure there Dallas Baptist has taken three games from IL St so far this weekend. They''re 28-11 and 13-2 in MVC play. I would love to see their offense go up against Arkansas pitching in a Regional
Oklahoma State's Justin Campbell with a no-hitter in a 19-0 W over Kansas. Cowboys now 27-14-1 and 10-10 in Big 12 play. Campbell went 9 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 11 SO/1 BB on 99 pitches third pitcher in the long history of OK St baseball to throw a no-hitter in a 9-inning game, first since 1968. Wow Irvine leading UCSB 2-0 in B6, Anteaters looking to take a 2-1 lead in that series after a 5-1 W earlier today
4 way tie for first in sec. Didn’t think the race for the championship was going to be this close at the beginning of the year. Going to be a fun few weeks.
Hoosiers with a huge 3-1 weekend after taking two from Rutgers and splitting with Nebraska. 4-2 W today. Now 23-10 on the year
VU and Bama canceled. Major bummer to have a game scrapped vs one of the few bad programs in the league CMU looking to take a 3-game lead on Ball St today, Chippewas up 3-2 in T4
Ball St scored 3 runs in T9 and won 8-7. Their coach used their Friday starter in relief in B9.... so congrats on the series split Cardinals your coach is a bad person
Hogs take the series against a scrappy UGA team 5-3 in the series finale. Kopps slams the door shut and his scoreless streak has been extended to 22 innings. Just an unreal season for him.
You and Kopps can bow down and suck this dick on your way through town next weekend. Woo Pigs Suck Ha. I just made that up. *Pig snorts* Woo Pigs Suck.
I don’t get the bat flip and I really don’t care for it. I’m glad Meat isn’t a fan of it. Next time they’re up they would be getting hit.
chin music Prolly on 2 or 3 straight pitches to get his ass runnin to the mound to get Venturaaaaaa'd...(mr shikadance voice)
Nothing like putting a guy on in an elimination game because you got upset at how he celebrated hitting a go-ahead homerun after you blew a 7 run lead.
I mean, outside of throwing the bat, which appeared to be back towards the catcher and home plate umpire, I don't have a huge deal with the celebration. That said, if the next time up he got beaned in the ribs, it wouldn't surprise me. I believe it is well established at higher levels what the penalty is for breaking unwritten rules. Throwing the bat is a simple safety thing that has no business in there either way.
looks like Kopps has pitched multiple times on a weekend 8 times this year. With it looks like five instances of him pitching on consecutive days. He's been excellent. His ability to hold up to such usage is as impressive as the results he's gotten
It makes us all nervous. He works out a ton and has a very strict regimen and apparently drinks beet juice as a recovery drink. Pretty gross. Anyways, he’s the best athlete on the team which is surprising.
