ahhh fuck I might get drawn back in wtf OM I think this is HR #15 for Carter Young while playing awesome D at SS. If he just had some kind of ability to recognize offspeed and breaking stuff he'd be so elite
Idk if you can make that argument this year, when an ACC team’s schedule is 95% in-conference, so all previous teams they’ve played are also playing other ACC teams If teams they’ve played are losing, about the same or more are winning
It’s not an argument. There’s a formula. It’s an average of winning percentage, opponents’ winning percentage, and opponents’ opponents’ winning percentage. There’s no subjectivity involved. Obviously, there are flaws in using it to rank teams, but there’s no mystery to how it works.
So, this is how stupid this game is and why I both hate and love it. We hit 6 HRs yesterday in our second game against aTm and lost. Today, we hit zero HRs and got outhit 10-9 and won 8-5 today. Just makes no sense. As an aside, we've hit 78 HRs this year, and 49 of them have been solo HRs. Just seems like an abnormally high number of solo HRs on the season.
Hope it doesn’t linger like Matt Goodheart’s has when he dislocated it. He still hasn’t been the same since injuring his diving back into first base back in 2019.
FSU/NCSU UF/Arkansas (SEC Network at 7 ET) Tennessee/South Carolina ODU/LA Tech Stanford/Oregon Arizona/Oregon St Nebraska/Ohio St/Indiana Dallas Baptist/SIU Seem like those are the best series this weekend ACC has some series that should be wild ND/VT Miami/Louisville UNC/GT
I'm gonna shoot for 100 MG by first pitch. Then blow through a few grams of Black Cherry Punch #4, an indica testing at 23% Kumar Rocker's last regular season start deserves such indulgence. Hopefully he limits the walks and homers
with Young out I imagine Noland plays 2B and Kolwyck moves to SS, which might be an adventure. Spencer Jones has been DHing a lot lately despite the fact in SEC play he has 19 Ks to 0 walks. Recovering from arm surgery and expected to be a starter but the patience Corbin has shown with him is frustrating. He has 15 hits and just 2 of the extra-base variety. There's no way the numbers would have him in the DH role over a Jack Bulger or even a Cooper Davis. 6'7 dude with power but such a flawed swing/approach he can't tap into it and for as great as Young is at SS and with the power he has, he has 42 SO/12 BB in SEC play and just a .303 OBP in league action. So that's a lot of outs being made all that doom and gloom while the Dores come into tonight 37-12 and 17-9 in SEC play
Gavin Williams in a 10-1 W over South Florida: 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 11 SO/0 BB on 80 pitches. Has he had a bad start this year? Dude is about as much a no-doubt All-American as anyone at any position ND with a 1-0 lead on VT in T4. UVA is 25-21 and 16-17 in ACC play, they lead BC 5-0 in T5. Looks like they'll be in the tournament after a really rough start. Mixed emotions on that Louisville leading Miami 1-0 in T4
team go Florida but I appreciate the Arkansas fan base's passion for and support of college baseball. If VU can take care of business vs UK and UF takes the series from Arkansas things will be interesting atop the SEC standings let's get a sweep this weekend, South Carolina. Go Cocks I am pulling for Kevin O'Sullivan's team but it's like Michael Jackson. You have to separate the art from the artist. He has been to Omaha 7 times at this point, that's a lot of trips
Keegan with a solo shot in B4 that puts VU up 2-0 on UK I can probably go somewhere without weed but why would I want to?
