Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land Broxton should be pretty damn valuable on the trade market.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land On that note, I haven't really been following trade rumors too closely this year. What are we looking to do, who are we looking to move etc.

Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land Lilly and Theriot for Dewitt and prospects http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5426301
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land We got fucked in that deal. Lilly for 10 starts. Theriot is shit-tier.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land We'll probably let him walk and get no compensation too
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land Fan comment from the LA Times Dodger blog Congratulations, Ned, you finally got your pitcher. Surely the Dodgers will steamroll their way to the top of the NL West now, because what they really needed was to add a starting pitcher who can win when he gets run support. Oh, wait a minute, the Cubs were scoring three runs a game for him this season, and Lilly is 3-9, and the Dodgers... are scoring about two runs a game since the All-Star break? But at least he's a quality pitcher with a future. Oh, wait a minute. He's 34 and he's a free agent after the season. Well, at least they got someone else in the deal: infielder Ryan Theriot, because what they need is another potent bat in the lineup. Oh, wait a minute. Theriot has all of one home run, which he hit the other day, and an OBP of .321, worse than the .353 of the guy they traded him for, Blake DeWitt. DeWitt also has one home run but at least he's shown he can hit a few. Well, at least, even if it doesn't work out for this year, the Dodgers won't be worse off at the end of the season, right? Oh, wait a minute: Lilly demands a decent salary, which the Dodgers no longer pay anyone new, and he walks. And the Dodgers are out two pitching prospects into the bargain. But fear not, because the Dodgers still have Manny to carry the offense on his back. Oh, wait a minute. He's already missed 35 games and has calves in worse shape than Nomar's? He's likely to miss more games once he comes back, he's a defensive liability and his power is about as far removed as his experiment with getting in touch with his feminine side. And they could have moved him to the Angels or the White Sox, but no, they want two more months of Manny (plus years of paying his deferred ransom). And they made no move to get Adam Dunn, who hits 40 homers no matter where he plays, instead obtaining Slugging Scott Podsednik, who has about as much power as JP. Heckuva a job, Ned. See you in October. Fishing somewhere in Mexico, that is.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land OCTAVIO DOTEL. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I hope Ned dies in a fire.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land For a 25 year old who, yea maybe had some work ethic issues, but had good stuff. But fuck Ned.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land Even if this team makes the playoffs, which we won't, we are still going to get ousted early. And at the cost of our farm system.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land Local kid who was the minor league pitcher of the year two years in a row. Dodgers used him the wrong way, he's better as a reliever. You don't teach 94+ with that curveball.
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land for Carl Crawford in the offseason
Re: *Official Dodgers Thread* Home of the messiest divorce in the land Ain't happening brotha, you can get Garrett Anderson tho.
