I hate it And if the mound needs to move back, do it... the mound hasn't been moved in about a century
Don't think it has to be moved back, just lowered. They've done it before after Bib Gibson destroyed the league.
Lowering the mound helps bc it flattens out pitches. Hell, do both lol. Here's an article I read a while back. No clue in the source but was an interesting read for me. https://www.ozy.com/the-new-and-the-next/lower-the-pitchers-mound-not-so-fast/92554/
Where Corbin Burnes ranks in all of baseball since last August when he rejoined the Brewers' rotation: ERA: 1st (1.45) FIP: 1st (1.52) fWAR: 1st (2.7) WHIP: 1st (0.79) HR/FB: 1st (5.6 percent) K-BB%: 2nd (33 percent)
Damn Twins and Red Sox postponed. Was looking forward to having a lone day game with a couple pretty fun offenses Really looking forward to getting home, immediately eating a bunch of edibles and then settling in for the evening with Cole vs the Jays Hinch returning to Houston tonight too
Weather in NY looks exactly like it did yesterday. I guess someone actually looked at the weather report today?
For all the shittiness that is MASN, the games were all on basic cable (and I think most YTTV-like options). It’s a weird complaint.
Vlad Jr looks like he made conditioning his top priority in the offseason. He had to have worked his ass off to improve his physique so much Dude is so skilled, going the other way vs Cole. He's now reached base in each game this season
Wtf? How? Just play the video and show where he was terrible at his job and everything said was true.
The specific story Lo Duca told was demonstrably false. But the idea that Joe West has suffered damages from it, to the tune of $500,000 no less, is a joke.
Cole apparently has the lowest opponent BA in American League history at .193, second is Nolan Ryan Among starters with at least 500 IP
pretty sure the complaints aren’t about pennant rings and more due to the fact that they had rings made for a meme season
got caught up in the moment and immediately realized how dumb we all were being. at least i did. being able to admit you were wrong used to be an honorable trait
Lot of nice pitching matchups tonight. Glasnow dealing and should be cool to see Mckenzie vs the White Sox lineup.
Jake cronenworth has swung and missed only twice through 11 games. Been really really solid and it’s amazing he was the throw in as part of the Pham trade (who is off to a horrible start)
not the easiest throw to make with your momentum carrying you out like that but just unreal stuff from acuna. pay that man
David Cone's 29 Ks are the most by a Yanks pitcher through their first three starts in a season. He did it in 97 I think Cole is at 27 right now. Yanks up 2-1 in T6, Cole: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 6 SO/1 BB on 80 pitches. So hopefully he gets that mark to himself
