Checking players in open view of the crowd is pretty shitty. Have the 1b or 3b ump step into the dugout instead of making a scene of it. Nobody wants to be stopped and frisked in front of 30k people during their fucking job.
This might be unpopular but Team Girdardi. I just woke up from a coma that I’ve been in since 2011 and from what I can recall, Max Scherzer is okay but nothing special.
Well now would be a good time for Keaton Hiura to remember how to not duck at baseball. Vogelbach hurt and he is still murdering the ball in AAA so he's either going to figure it out or he's a AAAA player.
Kinda funny that everyone acted like Kapler was the worst manager in baseball for the Phillies. Now he’s killing it with the giants and the Phillies are stuck with that shit bag girardi
What was Girardi thinking pulling that on Scherzer anyway Guy could sustain himself on nothing but anger for weeks
Girardi just wanted to watch the Suns Clippers. On a serious note, there has to be a deeper meaning to this, I’m sure Joe hates him but I’m curious why he hates him.
I turned on the game with 8.9 seconds remaining when they were reviewing the out of bounds call. 30 minutes later, I was able to turn the game off at the end of regulation. That was the worst thing I’ve seen in a long long time.
I used to love looking at all the MiLB hats in East Bay back in the day. Carolina Mudcats was always my favorite.
Kapler was objectively awful with the Phillies. he’s doing a good job with the Giants and seems to have learned from his mistakes but let’s not pretend he was ever good with the Phillies and just got a raw deal or something. team Girardi sucks though. I feel like I was ahead of the curve on this too. been preaching it for a while irl.
Yeah I didn’t follow him when he was out there, but he seems to have learned a lot and is making it work in San Francisco
The top 5 starting pitchers in K/9 all time with at least 800IP are all currently active. This has a LOT to do with the fact that most of these guys are either in their prime or just coming out of it, so their K/9 will probably go down in their later years, but alas. (In fact, Big Unit is 6th on this list, but would be #2 if you just measured 1988-2004) 1. Robbie Ray 11.19 2. Chris Sale 11.12 3. Yu Darvish 11.09 4. Max Scherzer 10.70 5. Jacob deGrom 10.70 Edit to add: Thru each of their first 917 IP Robbie still has a higher K/9 than the Big Unit with a lower BB/9 (4.14 vs 5.51)
If anyone told me a few years ago that Gleyber, Sanchez, Andujar, and Frazier would be what they are now I'd have thought it was the biggest joke I ever heard.
Injuries are starting to just wreck the White Sox just need to hold on now and play .500 ball also Yermin Mercedes has been figured out
The White Sox are not trading for an outfielder when all their outfielders will be back by end of August 2B and a RHP for the Bullpen might happen but even then I think Hahn isn't going to make a trade unless its a cash dump type move cuz our prospects suck
And no doubles either. .078 ISO on the year. He's a slap hitter that hits .250 and plays ~average defense. I just don't get it.
