Much better rankings lol Dilfer Spoiler ALPHA DOG: TY THOMPSON, OREGON COMMIT If there’s one quarterback that’s a lock to move up in the rankings based on his performance, it’s Ty Thompson. The big arm out of Gilbert (Az.) Mesquite had one of the more impressive pro days on Tuesday night as he was able to drive the ball into a headwind and make a number of throws most college quarterbacks can't make. That's after a solid opening session on Monday. The nation's No. 7 ranked pro-style quarterback is the type of prospect that seems to be getting better and better each time we see him. He is committed to Mario Cristobal and the Ducks. 2. BROCK VANDAGRIFF, GEORGIA COMMIT We liked Brock Vandagriff on Monday and Tuesday and loved him Wednesday when he worked through the accuracy gauntlet. The five-star out of Bogart (Ga.) Prince Avenue Christian School has crisp mechanics and was quick with his release. He had to muscle the ball in there at times, but looked elite in his first outing on a national stage since injuring his fibula. The nation's No. 2 ranked dual-threat quarterback plans to sign with the in-state Bulldogs 3. KYRON DRONES, BAYLOR COMMIT Kyron Drones was probably the biggest surprise of the entire event. The three-star recruit, who won a state title in his first season as a starter last fall at Pearland (Texas) Shadown Creek, showed more polish than we anticipated and the way he moves out of the pocket and fires the ball down the field is very promising. 247Sports analysts Charles Power compared the nation's No. 14 ranked dual-threat quarterback to a young Jamie Newman. The 16-year-old is committed to play for Dave Aranda and the Bears. 4. CALEB WILLIAMS Washington (DC) Gonzaga five-star Caleb Williams was named MVP of the Elite 11 Finals. Williams, who is currently the nation's No. 1 ranked dual-threat quarterback, showed why he's considered a blue-chip talent as he was able to make a difficult throw after difficult throw look easy. At the same time though he did grew noticeably frustrated with himself during Tuesday's pro day and missed some throws Wednesday. Williams is set to make a commitment Saturday. Oklahoma is the 247Sports' Crystal Ball leader. 5. KYLE MCCORD, OHIO STATE COMMIT Kyle McCord scored a 45 during his pro day. That was the highest mark out of the 20 attendees. The Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph's product also held his own during the accuracy gauntlet as he was precise and confident with his decisions. The ball in a way just seems to jump out of McCord's hands which is a trait that we like, a lot. We also how it never feels like he's forcing anything. The No. 3 ranked pro-style passer is set to spend the next couple years in Columbus with Ryan Day. 6. CARLOS DEL RIO, FLORIDA COMMIT This was the best we have seen out of Carlos Del Rio. The Loganville (Ga.) Grayson signal caller flashed for us during his pro-day workout and had some of the most impressive throws of the night. He showed off one of the biggest arms in the event and followed it up with a strong day during Wednesday’s accuracy gauntlet. At 6-3, 205 pounds, Del Rio has a big frame, moves well and has some intriguing upside to him. The Florida commit is the nation's No. 213 overall ranked prospect. 7. J.J. MCCARTHY, MICHIGAN COMMIT J.J. McCarthy was flat out solid all three days. The Illinois native, who will play his senior season at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, was consistent and precise on both Monday and Tuesday showcasing some high-level throws. Wednesday, he finished near the top of the pack. The ball doesn't exactly pop out of McCarthy's arms, but the future Michigan quarterback has the tools and makeup of someone that can Power 5 level. He's ranked as No. 2 pro-style quarterback this cycle. 8. MILLER MOSS, USC COMMIT Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei quarterback Miller Moss was among the most accurate throwers in the event. He was especially strong on the short and intermediate throws during his pro-day workout and looked comfortable throwing on the run during the accuracy gauntlet competition, as well. He didn’t have the biggest arm in the group but in terms of being able to throw on time with anticipation, he’s among the very best in the country. The USC commit is currently the No. 6 ranked pro-style quarterback. 9. TYLER MACON, MISSOURI COMMIT Tyler Macon wasn’t the most heralded quarterback coming in, but flashed for us several times. The East Saint Louis (Ill.) standout had a solid pro-day workout, showing off a live, accurate arm to all three levels of the field. He’s an athletic dual-threat signal caller who put up huge numbers last season and should be in line for a nice rankings bump following his performance. The Missouri commit is currently the nation's No. 748 ranked player and the No. 25 ranked dual-threat quarterback. 11. DRAKE MAYE, NORTH CAROLINA COMMIT There is no doubt Drake Maye is a very gifted thrower but does need to continue to work on his mobility to maximize his potential at the next level. The Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park signal caller and North Carolina commit is a pure pocket guy right now. He’s very clean mechanically and throws a nice, tight ball. He’s accurate to all three levels and has one of the best deep balls in the class, but struggled when asked to roll to his right or left. Maye is currently the No. 5 ranked pro-style quarterback. 247Sports' Barton Simmons, Greg Biggins, Steve Wiltfong, Charles Power and Brian Dohn all contributed to this report.
Many people say he’s the best evaluator of high school talent since Butch Davis. That’s what they say.

https://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/texas-am-football-program-violated-ncaa-rules Texas A&M football program violated NCAA rules July 2, 2020 12:00pmEmily James Download the July 2020 Texas A&M Public Negotiated Resolution Agreement The Texas A&M football program violated NCAA recruiting and countable athletically related activity rules between January 2018 and February 2019, according to an agreement released by the Division I Committee on Infractions. The head football coach also violated NCAA head coach responsibility rules. The university, head coach and NCAA enforcement staff agreed that the head coach and an assistant coach had impermissible recruiting contact with a prospect at his high school. The conversation was impermissible because it occurred before the completion of the prospect’s junior year in high school. Regarding the countable athletically related activity violations, during permissible weeks of spring and summer activity, the football program unintentionally caused student-athletes to exceed activity time limits by approximately seven hours. According to the agreement, the head coach failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance because of his personal involvement in the recruiting violation. The agreement also said the head coach failed to monitor his staff when he did not ensure the program was staying within the allowable number of countable athletically related activity hours. The university, head coach and the enforcement staff used ranges identified by the Division I membership-approved penalty guidelines for Level II-mitigated penalties agreed upon for the university and assistant coach and Level II-standard penalties for the head coach. Those and other penalties, approved by the Committee on Infractions, are detailed below: One years of probation. A fine of $5,000. A reduction in football official visits by 17 days during the 2019-20 academic year. An off-campus recruiting ban for the entire football coaching staff for November 2019, which reduced the permissible evaluation days for the 2019-20 academic year by 19. A seven-day off-campus recruiting ban for the football coaching staff for the 2020 spring off-campus recruiting period and a 10-day off-campus recruiting ban for the football coaching staff for the 2020 fall off-campus recruiting period. The university ended its recruitment of the prospect. A ban on recruiting any prospects from the prospect's high school for the 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-222 academic years. A six-month show-cause order for the head coach. The terms of the show-cause order include a previously served nine-day ban on phone calls, emails or texts with prospects in January 2020; a reduction in off-campus recruiting contact days by three for the December 2019 through January 2020 contact period; a ban on all off-campus recruiting activities for the fall 2020 contact period; additional one-on-one rules education; and a public statement from the head coach addressing the violations. A six-month show-cause order for the assistant coach. The terms of the show-cause order include a previously served nine-day ban on phone calls, emails or texts with prospects in January 2020; a reduction in off-campus recruiting contact days by three for the December 2019 through January 2020 contact period; a ban on all off-campus recruiting activities for the fall 2020 contact period; and additional one-on-one rules education. The panel noted the circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic could impact how the remaining recruiting restrictions are implemented and encouraged the university to report any challenges with penalty implementation to the NCAA. Members of the Committee on Infractions are drawn from the NCAA membership and the public. The members of the panel who reviewed this case were Alberto Gonzales, chief hearing officer for the panel, dean of the law school at Belmont and former attorney general of the United States; Joel Maturi, former Minnesota athletics director; and Joseph D. Novak, former head football coach at Northern Illinois.
Keith hasn't really backed off from saying we feel really good about Kamron Kitchens. I just can't see him committing to us with four teammates committed to Miami.
he wanted to commit to us but his mom wanted him to take visits. sounds like we’re taking some other guy who was willing to commit.
Biggins just posted on our board saying we still have a spot for Worthy. idk. i'd assume he's going to Michigan at this point but he was all oregon up until recently.
Our guys were kinda up in the air about it a few weeks ago, but have been pretty confident he’s leaning Miami lately
Are you guys still recruiting Ceyair Wright? He gave an interview this week that listed Nebraska, Az State, us, and Utah as the teams he's hearing a lot from and things are going good with. I figured you and USC would be the two programs that would be the most likely places he'd end up so I was surprised to not see him mention Oregon.
definitely. taking at least 5 DBs, but need safeties at this point with 3 corner types committed. hard to get a read on this recruitment. teammate, who's also a DB committed to UW and didn't even get an offer from jimmy lake (his shitty recruiting notwithstanding, Lake knows DBs so that's like totally weird). Biggins said Wright had a Stanford feel about him, but that was a while ago and I don't see it. I don't think USC is the spot even though they're recruiting him hard. I think USC has a better shot with Isaiah Johnson instead, who's relocating to socal. Wright seems to be waiting this one out for a while.
The longer he waits it out the better it probably is for us as he's never visited. Worthy hasn't either but we've been told there's someone in his family that's heavily in our court that's helping with him. In regards to Wright I'm not sure what to make of him as a prospect as the recruiting services love him but his offer list is missing some of the bigger names you'd expect for a top 5 CB in the class.
Not sure if they're related, but Worthy is close with Giles Jackson and I think that's been something that has helped UM at least hang around to this point.
Jack Parkman yall hearing anything on Jason Marshall? There's been a lot of smoke on our end here lately and that he's real close with a bunch of our commits
Just woke up from a dream where Thomas Hayden Church and my twins preschool teacher tried to recruit me to play defensive end at Ohio State. They were trying to pressure me to commit. The conversation took place at my grandmas house. #blessed #respectmydecision
