I really like him and wish he was a Cowboy. Cant teach his talent. But. On/off-ness is the biggest weakness associated with Brown III's game, especially as a pass rusher. There are times where he appears lackadaisical and won’t give much as a pass rusher when he’s shown to be much more consistent beforehand. He turns into a ball swatter instead of first trying to get pressure on the QB. His three-down value will always be a constant debate due to his motor and it leaves a lot to be desired because of the potential that he has shown in spurts with doing so.
I have to think he slipped bc of the ACL tear and his twin retiring due to knee issues. I think that’s great value.
I’m not sure why chuba came back. He played to not get hurt all season. Probably didn’t help with the Gundy drama in between his decision and the season starting, but his play was really weird.
Maybe after seeing Brees barely throw the ball more than 10 yards downfield the past two years they think that is how football is played and Book is a great fit for that
It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t also like actively suck... but he’s got great measurables so Keim will burn future draft capital for fun
