I would be pretty happy with Brown in the 2nd round. I could see Chicago replacing Robinson with a younger WR FA and then selecting another kids in R2 or R3. Brown is super talented.
it'll maybe be the best draft in history because GMs and scouts will have to rely on tape and actual scouting rather than a whirldwind 2-3 days of testing and interviews
and if we are lucky many gms will stumble upon that elusive wr data that Bankz can’t produce and they will avoid drafting devontae smith in the first 2 rounds since he is not a top 10 wr in this class
What data has been requested that I haven't provided? Clearly you are so stupid that you think only 10 WRs are going in the top 60.
The data is important in the sense of confirming what you see on tape and maybe spotting guys that are great athletes but are under-rated. But I'm not gonna look at a 40 time and question what my eyes tell me about Smith.
Watching him I wouldn't think so, but I've seen some people on other sites talking about him running a relatively slowish 40.
I just looked it up, they said he ran a 4.49 or some shit. His acceleration is something I’ve rarely seen in college.
4.5+ is not a good time for someone with his build. I was under the impression most thought he's running low 4.4s Either way I'm not high on the kid long term so another reason to stay away from drafting him R1
You said you had some data to prove that jacob would be a bad player in the nfl. You had some sort of data that you never produced, probably because you are full of shit
It’s fine to be full of shit. he who cast the stones never gets to eat first as they say in the Bible
To be completely honest, I don’t know how anyone doesn’t think Smith is a sure fire #1 WR in the NFL. Talent is obviously there, but, beyond that fact, just listen to the kid in any interview and all reports about his character and work effort when no one besides the Bama staff is watching. He’s going to be an All-Pro. Maybe in his rookie season.
He said historically it was indicative of future performance. Never said it proved anything. Big difference
that feels very excessive. Size issues and stuff like that are not something to ignore at all. Not saying he wont dominate in the NFL but guys that size who arent absolutely blazing fast dont work out that often.
I’m assuming teams will still get some private workouts in. They will get 40 times, etc for who they are targeting I would think
Like most players, where Smith goes will go a long way toward if he pans out or not. If he goes somewhere with a good QB and a solid OC, he should be pretty good. If he goes somewhere like the Jets or Broncos, he's probably going to look like ass statistically.
correct it’s part of a great evaluation. But nothing is carved in stone. Outliers will happen. Sure things will bust. One guy I liked a lot because of this data was Maxx Crosby who’s turned out to be a solid player so far. Do I have rankings for this current class or you talking about prior years? I think I posted Multiple positions in each of the last two draft threads. But no I don’t have a spreadsheet with old data.
This seems dumb to me. Having large groups from each org visit countless pro days and regional combines... And all the players traveling to each. Seems like having one local combine that is well planned and distances would reduce travel and spread
I don’t get it. Don’t think he can improve his stock too much. Deep WR class, but still projected round 1-2. Love it for OSU, tho.
saw a tweet earlier from PFF(they may have deleted it after Olave as they didn't include him) that the top 3 returning WRs were Marvin Mims, Garrett Wilson, and Jahan Dotson. Mims isn't even draft eligible, gotta think Olave is WR1 going into the year.
