This is where we talking about terrible teams making stupid hires and staying terrible. Lets hope this is more interesting than the lame CFB coach search season. Current head coach openings: Atlanta - Arthur Smith Detroit - Dan Campbell Houston Jacksonville - Urban Meyer LA Chargers - Brandon Staley NY Jets - Robert Saleh Philadelphia Current GM openings: Atlanta - Terry Fontenot Carolina - Scott Fitterer Denver - George Paton Detroit - Brad Holmes Houston - Nick Caserio Jacksonville - Trent Baalke Washington - Marty Hurney
Would like Eric Bieniemy or maybe Robert Saleh, so we'll probably end up giving Jerry Glanville another shot or some equal stupid hire.
This is my official announcement that my resume has been submitted for either or. Can't be worse than some of the fucks that end up being hired.
would be absurd for either of them not to get one. Any shot we see any of the following open up: Bears Bengals Broncos Chargers Vikings
Mike Sando posted a list of NFL GM candidates a few weeks ago saw Ruston Webster on there and almost died laughing
Bieniemy Saleh Arthur Smith Daboll Don Martindale McDaniels Roman Urban Campbell Harbaugh Riley Fitzgerald Mullen (?) seems like these are the potential HC names I've seen listed the most so far this cycle
yeah in a league as ruthless as the NFL, Taylor being safe despite a couple years where he went 1-15 and 4-11-1 as his resume is pretty odd
It's always seemed like they really like Lynn, and they won 4 in a row to end the season with a rookie QB. I have no clue either way, but I could see them sticking with it for another year with Herbert going into year two.
The hire was odd as fuck from the start. They really need a coach with a plan and not a guy that had a cup of coffee with a good coach.
Gotta think Staley will be in contention for a job considering the season the Rams defense had, and gets the McVay rub.
I’m just interested, always feels like a semi surprising job opens up and I don’t know what it might be this year.
I’ve just heard multiple nfl guys on podcasts mention that’s who they think it’ll be or say “it makes too much sense,” etc.
Morris seemed to do a really good job keeping that Atlanta team competing to the end. Hope he gets another shot after his first chance happened when he was so young and probably not ready for it.
maybe Dallas realizes they made a horrible mistake and takes corrective action? Seems that or Denver could be the most likely besides Chargers (or Bengals) from what has yet to come open
The only reason I’d be surprised on Dallas is because they just talked Kellen Moore out of taking the Boise job.
Yeah well I’ve been saying it since the offseason before O’Brien was even fired so these guys need to be citing me as the first to make that connection.
I think him to the Chargers would've made even more sense since he's from the area, have a franchise QB still on a rookie deal, and a pretty talented roster. But it sounds like Lynn will be back.
I think if the chargers opens up is the best job on the board, there’s a lot of talent on that roster
