I left mad a long time ago and went straight to apathy. This team had their window and let it close. Shame on ownership and the front office for being cheap ass cowards.
What moves during the prime years do you think would have taken us deeper into the playoffs? Really sucks we did absolutely nothing when we had 100 wins teams
fuck this team. almost thought they were going to win on (make-up) Opening Day. this season is going to be so sad.
I honestly can’t even follow the TEAM anymore. Will prob check standings a couple times this season but that’s it. If the ownership dgaf about winning not sure why I should spend my energy tracking them. (And the ownership hasn’t given a shit about winning since like 1978 so fuck my L)
But but but all the up and coming prospects weve acquired!!! Can’t wait for some youths to develop, then we can trade them for more prospects just before the lineup gets potent!!
Do we even have any good prospects anymore? All the ones we held on to during our wild card days have turned out to suck
Should’ve said all the good prospects we have (in theory, I mean a team that traded away everyone worth a shit should be receiving good prospects? Right? Right?!!?!) acquired.
And that was before we blew the 10-6 lead, imagine what a crybaby I was being then. I had five bills on the Bucs to win that game. I’ve never had so many emotional swings in a five hour period. I feel like I went through labor watching that shit.
Normally Trevor Williams vs. Michael Fulmer wouldn't insure confidence in me, but I feel like Williams could have a nice season if he keeps his BB totals down. Bet on an all RH hitting lineup tomorrow. Tigers are rolling Frank the Tank out there.
Pirates are a strong prop bet team. O/U 1.5 errors in today's game. O/U 5.5 pitchers used. O/U 12.5 total K's by batters.
We're going to win so much, you're gonna get tired of winning. 4-0. Found this on Twitter about an hour ago. This Taillon pitch seems to defy laws of physics or some shit...
A win over the Cubs is always encouraging. Chris Dickerson continues to rake. I listened today and Joe Block mentioned that there was a gap in right center and damn it if Big Swangin' Dick didn't put it right there. They'll really impress me if they can win 1 of the next 2 with Brault and Williams both going with Cubs countering with Lester and Hendricks.
6 weeks for J Hay. I for one am terrified at the thought of Adam Frazier manning second for the next 6 weeks.
Twenty years ago tonight and I remember this like it were yesterday. Still one of my favorite Pirates despite being a total douche.
Total dick. Fans would ask for autographs and he'd tell them no or to catch him at the hotel (when they were playing at home). Towards the end of his tenure in Pittsburgh his walkup music was Jimi Hendrix's "all along the watchtower", specifically the part where the part where Hendrix sang the words "there must be some kind of way outta here, said the joker to the thief" and it was a veiled reference that he hated playing in Pittsburgh. I can't say I blamed the guy, but I'd be wearing a smile on my face playing in Siberia if I was making what he was. At his peak, in terms of offense, probably one of the top 20 or 25 catchers all time. I would've liked to have seen what mighty been if he didn't break his ankle.
think he was the guy who would greet new players to the clubhouse by saying "welcome to hell" or something.
Probably. Hope he gets hot around July, trade him for anything of value, Dickerson to RF, Marte to LF, call up Meadows to play CF.
In what world should Dickerson be batting 5th and Frazier/polanco are 1/2. That’s absolutely maddening
