Arkansas beat A&M A&M beat Bama Bama beat Ole Miss Ole miss beat Arkansas Just how the preseason predictions said it would be.
MANY PEOPLE INCLUDED MYSELF LAUGHED AT CBS TAKING THIS GAME AS THEIR PRIMETIME GAME WHO IS LAUGHING NOW
Georgia being ranked #1 midseason going up against undefeated Kentucky next week? That should be gameday's location.
Happy for you, Dump. But you pay Jimbo like $8 million dollars a year. You're a big boy program now. Don't want to "Yuck your yum" but don't do this little sisters of the poor act.
It is not even close. This team would beat that 2017 team 4 out every 5 matchups. The only place we were better is RB. This team is much more well rounded on O though. This D shits on 2017’s. Sorry that it hurts your feelings, but this team is much better than our 2017 team. Doesn’t mean we have won shit you little sensitive cunt.
wes tegg when the Aggies dont end up choking and losing to Bama suck it h8er hope u have an awful week of law practice, bitch
Losing to Mizzou next week would be such an A&M move but no fucking way does this Defense not blow it.
I don’t care what the scoreboard said last night, Florida still has the two most impressive losses in the country.
outside of RB, there isn’t a unit on the 2017 team I’d trade for this team. The only other unit that’s a maybe is WR, but that’s only because our entire WR room is dead right now. Once they get healthy, 2021>>>2017
This might be the weirdest hill I’ve ever seen El Tiburon die on. Totally invested in not believing Georgia has a good team this year.
Considering his takes on basically everything else so far this season, he’s approaching Clay Travis level fadeability. Gotta be impressed by the guy’s ability to be absolutely wrong about everything, but never in doubt about the next one.
I don’t really care to actually look back in the thread but pretty sure he had some pretty shit takes on us losing to Arkansas
You should look back on the thread. I laughed at Gallant Knight's schtick a lot, but said UGA would win. I just thought the Hogs would be more competitive. I don't have the desire to spend a lot of time on it today, but what gets lost here is nuance. Which is to be expected from a college football fan board. There are a ton of really good and reasonable hardcore UGA fans on this board. There is also a small but extremely vocal minority of UGA fans who think UGA is Alabama and should be treated with the same deference and proclaimed Kirby the emperor of college football before he ever actually won anything. And that bunch is highly, highly sensitive to any suggestions such as, "There's reason to be optimistic, but let's see how some of these games play out first." And I admit, I have my fun time to time baiting those types on the board because of how riled up they get over any perceived slight even when it's not an actual slight. Also, not sure where TC is coming from with a pre-season prediction from me that UGA would be bad. If I'm consistent about anything, it's that tend to stay away from predictions until there's actual reliable data available. If someone had told me pre-season that Kentucky would be 6-0 right now, or that A&M would lose to Miss St and Arky but beat Bama I would have laughed them out of the room. No, I don't think this UGA team is as good as 2017 was, but that doesn't really matter to 2021 because this UGA team has now PROVEN on the field that they are set up better than everyone else in 2021. I think the QB play is pedestrian, the RBs are just solid and the WR corps has hardly played together all year, but no other team out there has shown the ability or talent to exploit those issues other than Clemson's defense in game one. It's really not that controversial a take.
We have 12 more 4 and 5 star players on the 2021 roster than the 2017. No idea if this team is "better" or will achieve as much but it's objectively much deeper.
Does it really matter, though? The musing was more along the thought that IMO, and somewhat ironically, Kirby is on path to break through the championship barrier this year even though -- again IMO -- it's not the best team he's put together. That was it.
