Ive got a lot of doubts this season goes as smoothly as our fans are confident it will. The Harsin/Bobo dynamic calling plays worries me(who will and what happens will it goes poorly), Will Friend coaching the worst unit on our team, the decision(so far) to not bring in any immediate help at RB or OT, and just making such a big philosophy change on offense in one offseason and expecting to win 9-10 games in the toughest division in cfb. That just screams lower expectations to me. We approach recruiting like our competition doesn't develop their talent too. Im terrified for Tank that he's going to get overworked without any backfield depth. Our RB room is Tank, Shivers, a freshman, and some Central Michigan transfer who isn't even on scholarship. Our side of things was hearing we didn't pursue Wanya Morris when he left UT, because "we were happy with the guys on campus". There's plenty to be concerned about other than recruiting, but idiots like drew and assholes like WED will try to make you believe its just a Cristobal obsession or disappointment with recruiting because they are simple. I think we've got enough talent like Tank, Mccreary, Pappoe, Mcclain, Smoke Monday and others to upset some teams, but I think another forgetful 7-5 type of season is more likely. I think we're depending on the portal going forward, and praying Derek Mason can get the most out of what Steele left behind to carry this program a few more years.
There are some who doubt Cristobal’s coaching prowess in spite of his excellent recruiting, but no I wouldn’t think so. There is one fan who thinks constantly whining will change things though.
You maybe the dumbest cunt on this board, nobody on our private really loves him they just don’t masturbate to his failures like you do
Saw Kirby speak last night at Touchdown Club, had some interesting things to say about NIL relating to Bryson Young's $1mm and how he might be short changed in two years if he's a 1st round pick. Fields, Lawrence etc signed better autograph contracts with more control and cash - $2mm. Young may have been better off waiting instead of signing rights away now. JT Daniels is waiting to largely cash in after a hopefully good season. Wasn't expecting him to use "time value of money" and then separately "wish my school didn't drug test" in respond to all the Widespread Panic questions. Saban was good last month, got a good rant about the process and a story about the drunk Georgia fan he gave tickets for the blackout game and was subsequently removed from the bama section after putting someone in a tuba. His memory of the game is security coming to tell him what happened and how the guy said he couldn't kick him out bc Saban gave the tickets.
