Sam’s team just got destroyed and he still took the time to talk his old players and colleagues, seems like he was the classiest imo
There is a reason the Arky OL went to Pittman’s house when Kirby offered him the OL job. That man is loved by everyone. If you have something bad to say about him, fuck you
He seems like a nice man, but it's reprehensible he employs Briles. It's a POS move. He should get all kinds of shit for it, but he doesnt because he's well liked. Can say the same thing about Kiffin and Lebby.
Lol at thinking I wouldnt being that up if we were playing well. Dismiss valid criticism and blame it on something unrelated. Very MAGA if you.
As a 1st time HC at a program in the absolute shitter? I hope he moves on and we get a new OC with no baggage but a hell of a playbook
Let me preface this by saying I don’t like Briles and I don’t want this to seem like I’m defending him… but what could he have done when everyone above him was sweeping shit under the rug? Do we know if he had knowledge of mishandled shit that was reported to his dad? If so thats fucked up. I just never heard or saw that he did. I don’t like him because of whats associated with his name and don’t like him as a playcaller and sincerely hope he moves on after the season.
Shocked that this was your takeaway from what I said You’re dumber than Stuhly and that’s honestly impossible
The guy saying 'i havent seen proof he knew about it despite being the coaches son and groomed for the job every step of the way' is calling other people dumber than Stuhly. Incredible.
I’m honestly asking if there were any reports of him having shit reported to him as an assistant coach or having knowledge of it, because if so that is fucked up. Did you catch that part? I don’t care if he’s an assistant here or not. I sure hope you were as vocal about Schiano, when there was proof he had knowledge of what was going on at Penn State. Id be perfectly fine if we never hired him or fired him now. Dude sucks. Just trying to understand if you have reasoning behind it that I’m not already aware of.
Im not aware of any reports. I am aware that youd have to be an idiot to think he didnt know. Hence why it's really shitty Pittman hired him. LMAO at the whataboutism about what may or may not have said about Schiano. Great look for you. For someone who claims he's not being defensive, youre being awfully defensive. Would appreciate if you would call our DC and give him some tips
Oh ok. I wasn’t are of any either, which is why I asked. I’ve posted multiple times about how I hate being associated with the name Briles and definitely don’t want his piece of shit dad around the program. but do your thing babe
The lawsuit includes an allegation that 31 Baylor football players committed 52 acts of rape. Five gang rapes are alleged to have taken place between 2011 and 2014. Kendal Briles allegedly used sex to try to persuade players to sign with Baylor when he was an assistant for the Bears, according to a lawsuit filed Friday by a former Baylor student who says she was raped by football players in 2013. The Dallas Morning News first reported on the lawsuit. Baylor, however, has never fully disclosed all it found in an internal review. That review acknowledged some unnamed coaches took “improper steps” when told of player assaults. When Art was fired – rightfully so – from his head coaching duties, Kendal took to social media to defend him, victim shame the women who came forward and deny any wrongdoing. https://arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/...background-of-a-candidate-for-ua-football-job
I understand what was posted by the Houston Chronicle reporter about how he used sex to entice recruits. That’s pretty common at a lot of schools unfortunately. Like I said I hadn’t seen where incidents were reported to Kendal and that he had violated title IX, rather his dad and others in the admin office had. Would be nice if Baylor wasn’t a private school and this shit would be made public. Briles, AD McCaw, university prez Starr, the title IX coordinator, and two others within the football program resigned or were terminated after the investigation. Seems like a lot of schools hired a bunch from that staff. Not sure if everyone associated should be blackballed or not. Out of curiosity , I looked up where everyone on that staff is now and who, if anyone, had hired them in college athletics. -Texas hired Casey Horny -Arizona State hired Phil Bennett -FAU/Houston/FSU hired Kendal -Houston/FSU/Ole Miss hired Clements -Phil Montgomery at Tulsa now -Brian Norwood now at UCLA (was also an assistant under Paterno at Penn State) -Chris Achuff was at Arizona Cardinals and now at Syracuse -Carlton Buckels now at Tulsa -Jim Gush now at North Texas -Jeff Lebby was at UCF and now Ole Miss -Collin Shillinglaw - this guy was fired by Baylor and doesn’t seem like he’s caught on anywhere else in college athletics. He apparently exchanged texts with Art about some allegations https://www.heartlandcollegesports....eged-text-messages-exposed-baylor-university/ -Tom Hill- was also fired by Baylor. Now president for the Waco Bluecats and no longer in college athletics. Seems like he was one that had some knowledge of it. -Beau Trahan now at Tulsa -Jeff Barlow- still at Baylor -Brett Bufton- still at Baylor -Odell James- coaching HS now -Kaz Kazadi- was reassigned when Rhule was hired and now at SMU -Calvin Lowry- now at Tulsa -Mike Sims- left Baylor in 2017 to take job at a hospital or something -Austin Steele- now at UCF -Tate Wallis- coached at Argyle HS and then at North Texas, was arrested for having improper relationship with student but charges were dropped. the staff at the time Coaches/Support staff Art Briles - Head Coach Phil Bennett - Defensive Coordinator Kendal Briles - Passing Game Coord (WRs)/Off. Recruiting Coordinator Randy Clements - Running Game Coordinator (Off. Line) Philip Montgomery - Offensive Coordinator (Quarterbacks) Brian Norwood - Associate Head Coach (Safeties) Chris Achuff - Assistant Coach (Defensive Line) Carlton Buckels - Assistant Coach (Cornerbacks) Jim Gush - Assistant Coach (Linebackers)/Def. Recruiting Coordinator Jeff Lebby - Assistant Coach (Running Backs) Colin Shillinglaw - Assistant AD/Operations Beau Trahan - Director of Football Operations Jeff Barlow - Director of Equipment Services Brett Bufton - Assistant Director of Equipment Services Casey Horny - Asst. Director of Operations Odell James - Asst. Director of Operations Kaz Kazadi - Assistant AD/Athletic Performance Calvin Lowry - Asst. Director of Operations Mike Sims - Assistant AD/Athletic Training Austin Steele - Asst. Director of Operations Tate Wallis - Asst. Director of Operations Also saw this that was linked in the article you posted. It seems like some were identified as having knowledge and some weren’t?
If that doesn’t bother you, fair enough. I think he’s a piece of shit and shouldn’t be allowed to coach kids.
Always fun to watch people fall over themselves to make excuses and defend when it involves their own school.
I’m not sure how many times and in how many ways Bert needs to say he doesn’t like Briles/didn’t like the hire before you jabronis drop it
Was taking a deeper look at UGA’s defensive numbers and holy Toledo, they’re salty. Less than 100 yards in at least one of the two offensive categories for every game; only one game with more than 200 total yards allowed, and a YPG differential of over 100 yards between them and 2nd place in the conference (Arky); nationally, the difference between them and No. 2 (Iowa State) is larger than the difference between No. 2 and No. 10.
