We mostly live within our means when it comes to going out and getting players. Spurs are almost double our spend, Chelsea and Arsenal are more than double, Manchester teams are 4 to 5x
.......we're cheap when it comes to signing players? How do you want me to phrase this since you know exactly what I'm talking about?
You can get cute with the average numbers all you want. You guys spend as much money on players as anyone, but try and hide it behind sales. You guys set the record for most expensive defender and goalkeeper(before Kepa) transfers, no?
Hide it behind sales or depend on sales to buy players? Dude If this is a bit you have to tell me. You have me hook, line, and sinker at this point. I'm getting rolled around the mat here.
net spend covered by ripping Barcelona off over and over helps, ngl but look let's feel sorry for LFC for having to deal with Harry Kane diving and clubs with monstrous owners spending their ill gotten gains. for they some jolly good fellows etc etc back to the warchest I guess
If we didn't rip off barca we would've never gotten vvd, alisson, and maybe fabinho. That just wouldn't have happened.
Liverpool fans(especially on this board) use the profits from sales to try and hide the fact that they, just like the other big 6 clubs, spend a lot of money on incoming players. You guys spend just as much as anyone. Luckily for you, you guys don't look as egregious because you have the ability to sell players at a high price, unlike the other big 6.
We don't spend a lot more than we generate. Yes we spend money, but FSG has proven they won't spend much outside of profits from selling. We lost out on Timo Werner because we wouldn't pay his 55 mil release clause. However, I'm just fine with Jota for 30 mil plus ki jana
So, to circle back, you guys aren't cheap. You're just more financially responsible. There is a difference.
you gotta spend money to make money is what the taught me in B (business) school. words to live by imo
Ings has been thrown out there as a “more attainable option”. I want Håland but as much as City spend overall, he’s not their typical buy
That valuation may be correct but it also smells like teams will wait until that release clause kicks in
I think we have to sell matip to finance this. Which is confusing. Because we're selling one defender made of glass for another defender made of glass
There was a bit more to it that doesn’t make it seem as bad IMO “As for Mr Guardiola, I’ve closed the book already a long time ago. Everybody knows what I think of him personally and he can say what he thinks for me personally. For the rest, I think he’s a great trainer. And that’s how it is. I will not shut up for anybody. I’ll give my opinion, I think that it is my right.”
Yeah, I read (most) of the interview, but that quote is flashier. For a second it gave me hope of Halaand not going to city.
If there is anything about euro footie we can all three agree on I’d believe it’s that he is the fat aids infested cunt of the sport
