This time I’m able to get off work and don’t have a trade show. I’m in your old city’s airport at Hard Rock watching your team and drinking a Mickey
I'm bad at math but I believe WVU has lost 73 games the past 5 seasons Do WVU fans want to move on from Huggins?
No. Those 5 seasons CBI...really young team and 2 players dismissed halfway through year Covid season. Last game beat #4 Baylor. Finished T3 in conference. 3 seed. Upset R32. Finished 3rd in conference Disaster of a season Finished 8th in conference. He's done a good job. He was reluctant to use the portal 2 years ago, but did a good job this year. We were 1 of 7 teams to not make the postseason (any tournament) and to make the postseason this year. He did a good job this year imo considering we had a major hole at the 5 spot
Ha I wouldn't know too much about a Minnesota search, even though they've got a few former WYO folks high up in their administration. But that seems like it'd be a great hire for them. Sweet Sixteen at South Dakota? Damn Probably need to make a big hire like that given how good the B1G is on the women's side
Iowa St scoring 41 points in a tournament game is embarrassing. Otzelberger is just as bad for the sport as Tony Bennett. Glad they lost
Pretty sure we were also picked last in the big 12 this year and she made the tourney. It’s a home run hire
Only if you don't know how to read. I specifically pointed out that the team's on the 15 line were specifically good matchups for purdue I had Purdue not making it out of the weekend either
So your opinion on Purdue and Edey getting bounced in the first round would have changed if the discussion was instead about them facing a 16 seed play in winner?
Well, I said I didn't think they would survive the weekend, but I just thought that the 15 seeds this year were specifically good matchups. Nobody actually thought that they would lose today, but I thought it was more likely than the 15s
Is there a chance UK moves on from Calipari this offseason? The second half of his tenure hasn't been close to what he accomplished his first 6 years there
No, buyout is too high. I think he'll get one more year before they would consider buying out his "lifetime" contract. IIRC he would get like 40-50 million if bought out.
KU deserved to lose the game, however I can see why the committee dinged KU if they knew Self was never coaching. They really weren't a #1 without him.
not with the buyout and the class he has coming in They’ll probably be good next year but I do agree he’s lost a step
