Maybe Matta set unrealistic expectations here, but Holtmann isn’t getting anywhere near close to that. Don’t compete for B1G titles, can’t get out of the first weekend in the tourney.

I posted in our main thread last night that it somehow surprises me every game just how uncoordinated/unathletic he looks. Every movement it’s like his first time performing it.
His typical performance entails diving for loose balls 3 seconds too late and then picking up 2 fouls on back to back possessions and looking absolutely shocked they called whatever weird ass thing he did.
Whats not to love? They have a japanese juco transfer, a french canadian shooting guard and 1970's mongaloid looking backup big man.
I assume he missed some time at Bama then? It never stuck out to me that he had some kind of wrap/brace on his shoulder until I randomly noticed it maybe the game before he got hurt.
He already is. That’s part of the problem these last 6-7 years edit: shouldn’t be implying that he was coming to work drunk or anything like that. But he definitely enjoyed a cocktail in his off time.
Congrats to Brey on a great career. I frequent his favorite bar in Dewey Beach and there's always been some interesting rumors floating around about his history with the ladies. Hope he gets some things under control in retirement.
