Former San Francisco Dons assistant Mamadou N'Diaye was on that squad too Remember Chris Porter throwing down a 360 windmill dunk at Vandy and being like whoooaaa
Damn, sounds like Payne was trying to help his GF friend out in a domestic violence situation. Pretty sure "stand your ground" doesn't apply if you go in your house to get your gun then come back out of your house
Travis Rudolph was denied "stand your ground" in a similar situation Only real difference is Payne was sitting in his car whereas in Rudolph's case dudes had started driving away But if they have multiple witnesses saying Payne didn't threaten anybody then dude is likely toast
Congrats to $P1 Mizzou has had 9 players transfer out. Just 1 landed at a P5 school. Cuonzo is a great dude, and a decent coach. He just lost all interest in the recruiting game/ NIL ect.
Im excited for Gates. Has put together a good staff on paper. He's also built out a large supports staff, something Cuonzo didn't bother with. More analytics and scouting.
Yeah. I was impressed w him Year 1, but in year 2 less so. Seemed like he was going to live and die playing that NBA style, and refused to adapt to his personnel
Oats? That would’ve been his 3rd year here. He’s definitely hard headed but he’s young and still growing as a coach so I’m going to choose to hope he learned from the shit that happened last year. He mentioned that he learned a lot last year after the season was done. Hopefully he meant it. I also think we had major locker room problems too, as evident with the transfers after the year. But last year we attacked the rim and had success that way, year 2 we shot the 3 and won that way so it’s hard to say he’s too stuck in his ways because he switched what our mindset was offensively last year. Our problem was that the defense never played hard for more than 30 minutes at a time. Most of the time not even that long. THAT was the major difference in year 2 with Herb Jones, Petty, Primo, Bruner, Reese etc. they all played good defense too.
KU Twitter and message board people seem convinced Kevin McCullar is coming to KU if he stays in school.
I do worry about adding another guy who is around a 30% career 3 point shooter to play in the same starting lineup as Dajuan Harris, but I guess on the flip side watching him and Harris play their ass off on defense would be fun.
If he didn’t want to shoot it would be an awesome addition because he is so good at everything else. Unfortunately the wanting to shoot seems to be the whole reason for the restlessness on his part.
