I can’t believe they figured us out, especially since we really committed to the bit and some players missed games.
And the brilliance of designating your two best defensive players as the ones to fake it.....just amazing.
For #Penn State Nittany Lions ... I really think Drew is going to be a star for you guys. Note- I am bias because he lives near me and trained at the same place I did.
I think he’ll be a star for someone else after he portals out because Franklin makes him sit behind Clifford
There is another angle to the Allar magic and it goes like this: you are the QB from the other team. You see what Allar is doing and it looks easy. you say "I can do that" and you go in for your next series and that's what you do. Only when you do it, you throw the interception. Our DBs will see it coming from a mile away because they see it every day in practice.
#Michigan State Spartans Watched Through the Banks of the Red Cedar tonight. Excellent documentary. PBS or Amazon for those interested. https://www.throughthebanksoftheredcedar.com/
Feel like I need to remind myself every now and then, CJ Stroud closed 2021 with: Purdue 31/38 361 5 TD 0 int MSU 32/35 432 6 TD 0 int Michigan 34/49 394 2 TD 0 int Utah 37/46 573 6 TD 1 int 134/168 for 1760, 19 TDS and 1 int.
I didn’t post our rushing totals because I don’t want to remind myself of those. We struggled in the red zone and other short yardage situations in 2021. That’s the biggest concern heading into 2022 on offense. Pass protection broke down completely against Michigan, but it was solid against everyone else.
You guys had the best offense in college football last year and will again this year. You get ND, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa at home. You're going 11-1 at worst.
We had a defense that gave up 40+ in each of the last two of those games. Michigan beat us 1995 style, straight at us until we could stop it and we couldn’t.
We had a nice stretch against Michigan and Utah where those two opponents scored TDs on 9 out of 10 straight possessions. Offense should be phenomenal. Defense was the worst I have seen at OSU.
Our coach didn’t publicly flirt with the NFL and then drive off our Broyles Award winning OC, so we have that going for us too.
Little does the Broyles Award committee know that Josh Gattis's ineptitude was the only reason we lost any regular season games and Ohio State held us under 69!
Our offense is going to be so good under [insert name] that Steve Miller Band's Fly Like An Eagle is going to replace Mr. Brightside as the song the students sing in fourth quarters.
