https://www.si.com/college/notredam...hange-course-in-his-offensive-coaching-search please hire darrell funk, one guy who for sure could waste all that ol talent nd has
ND truly went bargain bin shopping. I’m not sure they could have possibly found a cheaper combination, no hyperbole.
And the funny thing is there's a decent chance it will work better than keeping Rees or paying $2M for some other OC who did good work elsewhere. That's how dumb all of this is, and why all these SEC schools are so stupid.
well yea this bargain bin combo is getting gifted Sam Hartman and two 1st round OT’s- so yea you and I could probably call a top 25 offense
Lmao I guess one branch from the willie tree wasn't enough. Maybe the strength coach that he found at la fitness is available instead
Haterade aside, do you actually believe someone like Lockette turns down the job if he was offered it?
Maybe he saw most of Mario's first hires had a 1 year shelf life and he opted for the less risky path.
I mean I wouldn’t be shocked that a guy decided to stay at a more historically relevant program over the last ten years, no.
So a prolific South Florida HS coach from a feeder program is turning down a pay raise and a chance to come back home? I don't care if we went 0-11 the past 10 years, he ain't turning that down if offered.
Funny thing is, he's probably great in that type of role. He's a bad coach, but good at the recruiting/roster management piece of it, based on his recruiting role at ND. This could actually strengthen LSU on two fronts.
I've never seen such consistently dreadful special teams play. And this is coming from someone whose team tried to punt the ball like 10 yards past the LOS
Hot take: assuming this GM role actually does what everyone seems to say it does, that is not a demotion in the world of NIL/Transfer portal. That seems like a more important role than Special Teams coach. And there is no question Polian is better suited for it.
So Armstrong back to Bama next offseason when Steele 'retires'? Sounds like he was going to be DCIW there.
Fantastic D guy and was amazing for us. Believe he was the youngest coordinator in the country so probably still will be. Left for Bama recently, but see he’s on the move already again. High intensity guy, but really good young coach. Hate he’s gone
