Season officially done after tomorrow now. It’s been a blast seeing our logo on the thread. Good luck to everyone in the postseason. If your team makes it to Omaha and you’ve never been, go. It’s an awesome experience.
Gators win 4 straight SEC series to close the season. Brandon Neely is legit and hopefully Jud Fabian's getting out of his slump.
Some big games today in the SEC. Mizzou needs to finish the sweep of UGA and needs some help from Auburn to get to Hoover. If they win and Auburn wins, Mizzou gets the 12 seed. Auburn and LSU are battling for the last bye in Hoover. An Auburn win or an LSU loss today will make Auburn the 4 seed. An LSU win and an Auburn loss will make LSU the 4 seed. And there’s a chance Auburn’s game is significantly impacted by rain later today as there’s a 100% chance of rain within three hours of the start time. A rainout would give Auburn the bye as well. Arkansas and Texas A&M are tied atop the West. An aTm win or an Arkansas loss gives the Aggies the West title.
This putz of a coach at Notre Dame just threw in his stud third baseman Brannigan with a cold arm to pitch in a 10 run ball game. Sounds like the dude was projected first rounder next year. He proceeds to blow out his arm on the first pitch, what a terrible break for the kid. Walked to the dugout visibly crying
No we suck and we have been saying this all year also you don’t care about college baseball you are just happy you beat Arkansas congrats!
First we beat you in basketball Now baseball next up is to restart our winning streak on the gridiron
Not gonna lie my confidence has been shaken. Still think we at least make it to a super. On paper this was an Omaha team but today was the most embarrassing loss I can remember. Turner is an awful defensive catcher and has been in a slump. Robert Moore’s year at the plate has been baffling. Pitching started stellar but really slipping lately. Baseball is a fickle sport
Even though our season is done, I can’t wait for regionals. My favorite part of the year. I love seeing smaller schools pull some upsets.
probably the same ump that called time, a split-second before we hit a walk-off HR in the first series of the year, thus nullifying the HR.
So today Nebraska needed to win and have Purdue lose to make the big ten tourney. Nebraska beat Michigan state 10-9. Purdue, with inclement weather predicted for today, did not move the game up, play a double header before and refused to take the field for 2.5 hours after the game was supposed to start until the rain actually started. By doing so Purdue with 9 conference wins and 3 games missed will play, while Nebraska with 10 conference wins and 1 game missed will work on their golf swings. Spoiler maryland can also go fuck themselves but too a lesser extent.
I feel like umpires everywhere just have a giant stick up their ass lately. Today in our game against Michigan state, their starting pitcher hit two players in the head(and then Later clipped an elbow). One of the umpires threw a hissy fit because our players kept yelling for the pitcher to be tossed(I’m assuming). The same umpire later then randomly called time when one of our pitchers was mid wind up, and this ump was at third base.
I really hope Southern Miss can run through C-USA tourney and get a regional. I want to experience that.
Rough weekend for the SEC in the softball tournament. Alabama, Tennessee and Mizzou all fail to make it out of their own regionals.
Szefc gets ACC COTY and VT puts four players on All-ACC first team. interested to see if Szefc doesn't snag a national award (VT was preseason 7th in the Coastal).
