That wasn’t the case during the Imola sprint and in Miami the rapid tire degradation allowed Max into DRS range. Did it just accelerate the inevitable? Possibly, on the telecast they mentioned Charles had graining already in the first 10 laps.
Race pace from FP2 had RB about 7 tenths clear of Ferrari and even Merc was a bit ahead of Ferrari. That being said, I feel pretty confident that LEC is going to get pole and it's really tough to pass in Spain. Overall should be a pretty interesting race. I genuinely believe Mercedes will be a bigger factor than they've been until now.
Leclerc on pole is probably the best thing for the race. Verstappen would have checked out if he was on pole.
Things will get spicy if Merc can continue to improve and RB keeps the engine black cloud hanging over them
Why did Danny not go out for a final lap in Q3? Did they feel they weren't competitive with Haas and Alfa Romeo?
I believe they ran out of soft tires for him. And didn’t want to send him out on anything else. Probably wouldn’t be able to improve on his time without softs.
Think he and Danny will end up in the points tmrw. Both cars looked better today. Saw somewhere that lando was battling a cold/flu thing
He was into Q3 but had his lap deleted for exceeding track limits by .0001 millimeters. Think he ended up missing out by like 4 hundredths or something after the lap deletion.
Brutal. Hamilton looked to take a bit wider line than Sainz right in front on him, but Kmag gave him zero room and ruined both their days
