I can't imagine he is going to look too great today given how little run up he has had this year + the opponent. But glad he will get his feet wet early in the year.

We are still good folks. I think we have the best 1-2 combo at the top of the order in the league. Both mookie and Freeman can hit for power or contact, have great eyes and can drag out the count, run the bases like hell and are generally a headache for the other team. As an opposing pitcher starting your day vs those two is a real nightmare because nothing will be easy. Overall the lineup isn’t as ridiculous as it was a few years ago when former MVP Bellinger would be batting #8 or whatever but our old dogs are still doing their jobs in the back half of the lineup. Outman’s slump hasn’t really been felt because other guys are pulling their weight so there isn’t a ton of pressure on him. Overall love this team. Pitching has been solid all around. Maybe the management of the bullpen in season could be our Achilles heal in the post season, but overall I’m liking what I’ve seen.
Quick question: is it physically possible for a professional baseball player to hit .083 a third of the way through the season.
I’ve been watching the Dodgers for four decades and Freddie is as good a hitter as anyone that I have seen. Just a stud baseball player thats in complete control out there. Wtf were the Braves thinking?
Allegedly his agent told him that the Braves weren’t going to match the Dodgers deal. But apparently his agent was lying and just wanted Freeman in LA. Then Freddie found out the Braves would have matched any deal and he fired his agent. Idk where I heard this, but I heard it somewhere.
Freddy would have loved to spend his entire career as a Brave. But he immediately fell into a leadership roll on the Dodgers and has been all class and ridiculously productive.
