Brewers waking up to the fact that they may actually make the playoffs despite being only 2 games over .500 in September
All of this is still true. Granted, I thought Olson would be better this season than he was -- he did have a higher WAR than Fred in 2021. However; the best part of the deal was their respective ages and how old they'd be at the end of their contracts -- Olson still seems like the lesser risk of the 2, but only time will tell. Historically, the Braves haven't been able to eat bad contracts, and if Freddie fell off when he's 38, it could have killed them. That was in the back of my mind at the time of those posts as well.
I did not hate swapping Olson for Freddie from a pure value perspective for the Braves, but the bolded is dumb. They could absolutely weather being underwater on literally one contract coming off a World Series win.
Now they're spending, but at the time of those posts he quoted, the ownership had no history of spending at all, so that was my mindset.
Intentionally walking Judge when you're out of the playoffs is some bitch ass shit #Baltimore Orioles
This whole thing is amazingly overplayed so fuck him He’s absolutely getting it this series so calm down
I agree it's overplayed but an AL record that's stood for 61 years is still cool to break. IBB to him there was lame af.
Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle, and every yankee who played after WW2 mainlined amphetamines along with everyone else, including myself.
I quite like the Judge storyline. But even today a good majority of players have an ADHD exception for testing and take adderall.
looks like the yanks need to create a short porch in left field to get judge closer to the real record
I'm really just fucking around. I'd like to see him get the AL record but it's not a huge deal. Much bigger deal to my 4 year old daughter than me. She gets anxiety over every AB and I find it adorable.
