Funny thing is pretty much all the other coaches were saying that guy might be the best recruiter in the state.
He decided to base his entire recruiting decision off of that two week period that Iowa was ranked in the top 5
I noticed that too at the end. I don't know anything about the guy, I just found the language funny. A grown man calling a coach a butthole is something you don't read every day.
An elite offensive player choosing Iowa would be kind of crazy. Any defensive player choosing Iowa doesn't seem very crazy. They develop talent incredibly well on defense.
Not sure if the kid will get reclassified but we just landed Andrew Gentry. A top 100 OT from the 2020 class who had committed to Virginia and been on a mormon mission the last two years.
Do you want this one or one of the other states? Not much of substance in the Wisconsin one except for Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.
I'm very confused by how he ends up at UM for a bunch of reasons, starting with... 1. Biff is back on the UM's staff, so I don't know how we could sign him. 2. I was unaware we were recruiting him until yesterday.
I see it's Wiltfong: 247Sports has learned that Michigan will host one of the nation's top uncommitted 2022 prospects this weekend. Sources are telling TheMichiganInsider publisher Sam Webb and I that Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Top247 defensive lineman Derrick Moore will take an official visit to Michigan this weekend. The Wolverines look to be in promising position for Moore who is also considering the likes of USC, South Carolina and Ole Miss. Moore is a former Oklahoma commit who reopened the process shortly after Lincoln Riley took the job at Southern Cal. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Moore has only taken one official to date, his trip to Norman back in September. With that in mind, we'll see if he decides to put pen to paper during the Early Signing Period or wait till February. Tabbed by the 247Sports Composite as the nation's No. 17 defensive lineman and No. 96 prospect overall, Moore will play in the Under Armour All-American Game. He is from the same high school as Blake Corum and Nikhai Hill-Green. btw has Steve had his worst year yet with '22 class?
Thank god biff is finally delivering us players. It is starting to sound like um could have a pretty strong finish.
Yeah, we went from being right at the top of his list for a while to completely out of it quickly. Sounds like you guys then Georgia.
Rivals did their annual drop of all our guys too. I personally enjoyed them explaining removing Powers 5th star as “he’s still one of the top performing guys at his position, but he didn’t get better than he already was, even though he’s still playing at a five star level. We think he’ll prove us wrong for dropping him”. Solid analysis.
Following Ewers’ lead. If you have a legit shot at the NFL, then why waste more time in high school classroom (kinda pointless for non-athletes if we’re honest) when you can get paid (and a free vehicle) to learn and observe firsthand. Redshirt year at OSU about to be renamed Greenshirt for some of these kids.
If you take care of business your first three years of high school your senior year is usually a joke anyway. We don't expect that he'll play probably at all next year, this is likely a true redshirt year where the goal is to get him in the weight room and get familiar with our systems. He'll probably play a lot or start in '23 when he'll be 18 years old.
He's really fast, not sure about his lateral movement. Got hurt early and didn't play for most if not all of his senior season. I think he was recovering from a torn meniscus. Had an acl tear previously.
Is Dillon Bell expected to be anything at WR for UGA? UM wanted him really bad until UGA came in and took him. Kind of surprised his ranking never jumped at all.
Not sure I understand your question but yes he's expected to be a WR at UGA. I like him but again WR recruiting at UGA is suspect lately.
Just curious what the thoughts were on him as a player because UM really wanted him even though his ranking isn't high. Not suggesting he might flip or talking shit or anything. I think he's good.
