If your #3 WR cost me a bet when he was in college in 2015 I will hate your stupid team until you trade him
I can't imagine trying to enter a GM search and attaching Judge to that job description. You have a ton of draft capital but no cap flexibility so development is going to be everything.
offensive that gettleman is being allowed to retire instead of being held accountable for his numerous crimes and face the gallows
lol they are about to promote the cap guru that did such a good job they couldn’t dress a full roster yesterday because they would have been over the cap
michael strahan went on a rant yesterday about how dumb of an idea it would be to promote him you never see him attack people in the building like that. probably means nothing tho let’s give it a shot mara
dave isn’t just a horrific gm he’s genuinely a shitty person too so wish he woulda chose the ride through dealy plaza option
This is the writeup from the Bears Athletic guys for GM candidates. I imagine this list would look pretty similar for most teams looking for GM's I think I would be most concerned that the Bears actually got their act together if they hired someone like Omar Khan
Thought I read earlier this year that Khan was looking to get out because the Steelers were gonna go a different direction
Y’all are goofy for watching as an objective spectator. I truly enjoyed thinking the Saints were going to make the playoffs for the 6 minutes that things were looking good yesterday. You can’t buy that sort of happiness.
There seems to be a little smoke to Brandon Hunt getting promoted. He is the Pro Scouting Coordinator. I am a fan of Omar for the job he has done on cap and other strategies but his role I worry translating to a GM and talent acquisition.
In that article for the Bears it was under the assumption that he would be a head of football ops where he would hire a GM.
That would make sense for the Bears. I was referencing about him being next in line in Pittsburgh. Steelers haven’t had a football Ops guy. I hope Omar gets the Bears job under that premise.
hopefully he's not responsible for their drafting a tight end to play qb but everything else up in buffalo seems well run so i would like this thank god they are at least interviewing someone outside of the building unlike last time
Holy shit I had no idea Pep Hamilton was still a thing, now I’m fucking worried the Bears will find him
He's actually got a pretty good rep as a QB coach in the league right now. Especially after coaching Herbert and Mills as rookies the last two years.
I've honestly got no idea. We're such an insignificant organization nationally that we've got like 4 full-time beat writers. And they are basically always in the dark on stuff. So not really in a position to know much about the inner-workings of front office stuff Maybe mustang66 knows about them because he's the #1 Titans fan on here
I want an executive job that’s so easy that it’s news when I report to work and participate in meetings.
not sure how he is as an OC but he probably has the best rep as a QB coach as anyone in the league at his point Herbert credited him for a lot of his success last year (plus the guy who went to Philly, i think). And Mills was pretty good this year under him Chicago could do a lot worse than him if they hire a HC who calls the offensive plays imo
