I find this odd because the super bowl, often, had a single performer that kind of hits a singular category (even if it’s a huge category, prince and MJ and Paul M. kind of the exceptions) This is 30+ years of performers that were/are among the top in the entire music industry with very little dead-space where 1 of the 5 weren’t among the top at the time. It hits such a huge category of people that so many are going to want to tune in because, likely, somebody was super relevant to them at some point.
I know a lot of people who listened to rap in middle/high school and are now super chuddy as they hit their 30s and will likely refuse to watch this.
I mean, I was just saying the other four are old as fuck because they are, the second youngest perform is Eminem and he'll be 49.
nothing would chap my ass more than Atlanta's super bowl going for Maroon 5, then another city taking our music and doing what we should have done.
Guys, there are already 5 of them. There aren’t gonna be more guests. Nor are they gonna take away time from their own performances to fire up a hologram
It wouldn't be surprising at all to see them do California Love, considering the location. Dre paid $400k for it and used it before at Coachella.
Waiting for the imminent TexAgs thread whining that this halftime show is just for black people and not Americans.
Well now I'm getting my hopes up. Why would they include a Tupac song in the ad if he went be there? Would be the GOAT halftime show forever and always.
still d.r.e. is at 15 on spotify's global top 50. lose yourself is at 28 and the next epsiode/in da club are at 48 and 50. best $7m investment ever most likely.
He's a great entertainer, so I'm sure it will be enjoyable...but, that's the least exciting one for me since Maroon 5.
Depends on who he brings with him. He's had so many great collaboration songs. Diddy Lil John Alecia Keys Jay Z Jada The list goes on. His song selection will be key.
Was going to say Climax was one of my fav recent R&B songs and then saw it came out 11 years ago. I am getting old
Usher dominated pop radio for a decade plus. He definitely has the crossover appeal. "He has nine Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles (all as a lead artist) and 18 Hot 100 top-ten singles"
