Perez and Sainz are going to be feeling some heat if they're this far off their teammates all season. I've already got Danny Ric pencilled back into the RB next year. Norris should take Sainz's Ferrari seat as well if he can get out of McLaren; I don't think Leclerc is a #1.

At this point RB would be dumb to replace Perez wit RIC. Perez is as best as you can hope for as a supportive 2nd driver.

The only thing as consistent as me posting about him is you being right there to whine about it when I do.

They’ve gotten a lot of practice with the new pit stop green light rules, back down to a lot of sub-2.5 stops

 

The DR thing is complete hopium on my part of course, but if Ferrari or another team ever gets competent then having Perez be so much slower will be a liability for the Constructors.

I don't think a team like Red Bull operates with the mindset that they have to choose either the WDC or the WCC, but can't try for both.

 

ow I know they try for both. But if they feel like they have to compromise one or the other I think theyd rather compromise the WCC

Completely agree, I just think now that they seem to be solidifying their hold on the WDC they may look to do the same for the WCC.

I say all this as RBs WCC competition collapses in front of us.

I think you are correct if you look at prize money, if you look at sponsor value, which is I think the main financial consideration, its probably the other way around
