No need to be sorry, at least not towards me. The whole event was bad and only happened because Watson decided to skew/twist what oops said to support/make his insane accusation
Let's just sweep this current line of conversation under a rug, like the board did the actual events... It shouldn't be in the Soccer board
Lille blocking transfer approaches for Weah. Weah has asked them to let teams approach. Sevilla and Monchengladbach are after him the most.
If anyone has told him that these players aren't going to have much resale value because only like ~10 clubs can afford these wages, then he hasn't listened. Like yeah, buying young dudes in good in theory, but if they're on 100k+ lbs per week, then it doesn't really matter how old they are. the market isn't going to really be there unless they are straight up world class
saving owners from themselves something else i didn't mention when i talked about how teams pay transfer fees over the life of the players contract--there are some funding companies that will pay teams the full fee up front if they assign like 30% of the money to the funding company. i know peterborough does this consistently. not sure if premier league teams do this.
Heard it here first from Charlotte FC sources. ETA: LOL I read it as Enzo Fernandez. I’ll see myself out.
Newcastle is apparently confident in getting a deal done with Everton for Anthony Gordon. I’m meh on it but
I think because they wanted him in summer but price was insane, they think getting him around 40mil(what Newcastle is speculated to be offering) is something they can’t pass up. I also suspect they think there will be more teams involved if they wait until summer/relegation?
I also read something earlier that if bielsa takes over he thinks the squad is too slow or something. So Everton probably need to sell to buy and this would partially fund that? if I were them I would just make poch an insane 6 month short term offer like 1.5m a month + 10m or something if he keeps them up
Apparently his profile doesn't fit Juve's style of play and he's been tried at 3 positions but it just hasn't worked out.
I saw this alluded to as well. With the rumors of the club being for sale, this could be a way for a new manager to buy without owner putting funds in
Leeds doing terrible this year after buying a bunch of usmnt dudes and their solution is to add another one. Nice
And they will likely take a sizable money hit when they don’t make CL. It’ll be fixed long term, but I’m sure there will be financial issues the next couple years.
Do you really think they are going to penalize players? Partey is still in the league and Toney is still lining up for Brentford. City never was penalized for violating FFP. This is contract nonsense stuff. Color us not worried.
I generally appreciate sarcasm, yours misses the mark. While discussed ad nauseam in the Spurs thread, there were previous posts indicating people were unaware of Juve's issues... let alone how that could implicate your lowly club. In summary: Kindly fuck off, cunt.
I clearly state that it's unclear to what degree you guys are impacted. Tagged Spurs, as you'd be most likely to provide further insight & not trying to stir the pot. But Voodoo is still a twat
No, I don't think it's probable that players are banned, but Paratici is another story. He's been found guilty & charged... What's in question is if UEFA will hold him accountable outside of Italy. Spoiler Guilty or not, no charges have been filed against Partey yet. When/if they come he should be held accountable & punished accordingly
