I don’t think the pitch tracker is calibrated for slow pitch either. Look at its readings vs where the catcher actually caught it. IIRC it gets its reading at the very front of the dish, with that trajectory those balls easily could of been a foot high and still fallen into the zone.
yea I was watching it live. the catcher was catching them right over the plate but they were so slow they came in high. the balls would have had to bounce to register a strike in the middle of the zone.
Glasnow looks sharp, imo. Just given up som le hard contact from Muncy and freeman. Really painting the corners
Just went for a nice swim in the Pacific, ate some Chilaquiles verde from my favorite restaurant, now relaxing in a hammock listening to Braves-Phillies on the radio because my internet is too shitty to stream. All-in-all a pretty prettttty good Saturday so far.
What’s to like accounts putting out highlights meant to maximize fan engagement? Sometimes their tweets are cringe because of it. Only you said the word hate.
#Texas Rangers now with the second best record in baseball despite having the worst bullpen in baseball
pretty nice day for our #Seattle Mariners pitchers 2 hits allowed and 17 strikeouts in a shutout of the pirates
The one dude in the background running in to try and get his teammates to stop celebrating and finish the play is the only guy I feel sorry for.
1. Where did the ball end up? 2. Can you not wear the same uniforms? Maybe get some green duck tape for one of the team so me, random internet guy, can tell who’s who.
Michael Soroka starting tomorrow for the Braves, first time pitching since Aug 3, 2020 after two straight Achilles tears. He was a borderline cy young candidate, or at least on his way, before the injuries. If he can just be serviceable it'd be a huge help. Thankfully his first start is against Oakland.
Dodgers just giving away bases all year while also not really stealing many of their own definitely won’t be an issue at any point in the fall
Only disappointing thing in this TB/LAD game is that Fleming isn't going to get a win for giving up 10 in 6 innings.
That box score is hilarious. Been watching off and on, but there's 21 runs and 20 scoring plays. Only scoring play that brought in more than one run was a Paredes 2-run double everything is else is just inching forward one run at a time.
