Huge respect for Japan. Love how passionate they are. Need some of our pitchers to buy in like the hitters have. I understand older guys with injury issues not being able to play or young guys that haven't been paid, but Cole and/or Wheeler could have been the difference. The early morning pool play games are some of the first baseball games my 1 year old actually kind of watched. He's obsessed with ball and I'll always remember this wbc for that.
As much as a I love baseball, besides the CWS and late playoff pushes, no atmosphere will rival that.
Ken Burns needs to add another 4 hour chapter onto his Baseball doc and make the whole thing about Show-tani.
White Sox putting a High Life Sky Lounge in the upper decks is just incredible know your crowd/fan base type pandering that you rarely see these days ohh our fans are poor working class- yup fuck it Champagne of Beers it is
The freak outs from people that spring who were begging for him to be a bust became hilarious once the season started and he raked from the jump.
No doubt. Pitched 2 innings and gave up a run. Just glad to see him out there pitching and fielding ground balls from the mound without issue. As long as there are no setbacks, he should get a start for Atlanta maybe before the all star break? Maybe sooner? There isn’t a timetable, at this point

The league might ask for a bat boy or girl to be replaced if they’re contributing to game delays." Can't wait for CB Bucknor to throw out a bat boy for delaying the game.
Think OOTP 24 comes out this week, pretty excited, 23 was probably my most played game in my steam deck for when I was on work trips last year
think I’m going to try and be LAA and keep Ohtani and win a ring with him and Trout using this new hard mode for making trades feels like a fun challenge
If the PTI guys are anything to go by, the loss in the WBC final is going to be just like the basketball at the 1992 Olympic Games. The players who held off playing will sign up next time around.
Not even remotely similar. I also say that as a person who could absolutely care less if the US advanced from group stages.
Too cut and dried imo. Two totally different demographics in a very diverse country. I would say on average that basketball probably has more fans, but the people who follow baseball follow it more closely.
Okay. I guess the real question would be the passion level. If a loss at the 1992 Olympics for the basketball team caused people to sign up, what does the WBC loss cause? The same thing? Or aren't baseball fans as passionate as basketball fans from a patriotic view? This is what I don't know not being American. I see it from a distance.
