Obviously things change, but I don't see why he wouldn't already be in the portal if he was planning on leaving
It’s a pipe dream anyway. If Clowney was to return we’d return Clowney, Bediako and Pringle. Bediako was a force from mid way through the year on. Like a flip switched.
I'm sure they haven't. I'm just speaking on MJ Rice, though. As he didn't play a lot this season, I figured if he was out he would already have his mind made up and be in the portal. And as was stated earlier, I don't see him getting more NIL elsewhere and there's a whole lot of minutes available.
Super talented, but zero drive even though he’s from Ark he’s probably the only kid in the portal we won’t contact.
This basketball portal feels like a real knife fight. There are like 10000 players in it and it seems like they all have a list of 20 or 30 schools. If they had to do it again, I wonder if they would still give an extra year for COVID.
Hmm..Sounds like Cuffe & Rice are entering the portal this week. Someone with usually good info posted it on Jayhawkslant and it's been radio silence from website staff since.
Mikey Henn came in as a transfer to PSU for 2022-23. It was his 5th school (UC-Davis, Cal Baptist, Portland, and Denver). He played in the 2017 NCAA tournament at UC-Davis. That's wild.
I’ve already said he’s mid on our home board, too. Nebraska desperately need a PG for next year though so a mid one would be welcomed.
mizzou what a weird player. hit one of the 2 or 3 biggest shots in school history but every unc fan on earth is (rightfully) ready for him to move on running it back with him woulda been insane gonna be weird to see him in another uniform tho
He’s got skill but so unpredictable. He’s super inefficient too. Will be interesting to see where he lands.
We seem to be the popular pick out of the gate. It’s a strong no thanks for me. But also Gates seems like a coach who is really good at getting buy in. Maybe it could work, but chances seem low.
Carr also had a great supporting cast this year and a terrible one at Minnesota and Pitt. I don’t think love is going to surround himself with more talent than he had at unc wherever he ends up
Look - I’m on record saying it’s a bad fit at Mizzou. But if he does go there - I’m using that framing to cope. Ok?
i'm somewhat on the fence on taking him. There's a player in there somewhere and I don't doubt that he was mismanaged but he still wasn't great when he was in. We would want him as a small ball 4 but we aren't in a position where we can take him expecting him to start. Just too much unknown for that.
Constructing a college basketball roster year in and out right now no matter how aggressive your school is with nil seems like playing the lottery. Probably why we’re getting things like the current final four teams that are left.
To this point his hands have been really bad, of all the depth pieces who got sporadic playing time Styles' case made the most sense to me. Really don't know what to make of his potential but I wish we could've held on to him.
I just want Tobias to know Caleb Love will always have a special place in my heart after shooting 5/24 in the title game last year
if he’s transferring to be bench depth great. if the plan is to start him, hubert is even more over his head than i initially thought
this is a really good point and I am 100% for it. parity the fuck out of all sports, let chaos reign every. single. year.
we have 5 scholarships available after this. zero wings. hoping we were honest with his role and he’s depth
