I know eagles fans may have trouble thinking otherwise, but this isn't about giving the 49ers a shot to win that game. it is about not having a RB act as the emergency QB

 

I don't think any Eagles fans think changing the rule is bad or anything, but the Niners haven't shut the fuck up about how they should have won since the game was over. Deebo was still bringing it up like last week.

 

I don't expect the players in the game to have some great view and understanding of the rule change.
