here for the preparation of the massive letdown that is Arkansas Football. right Gallant Chad Morris ?
Tough to be let down when you’re not expecting much. To be fair to pittman it looks like they’ve done ok in the portal this far. Sucks they have to humor mcadoo by letting him play receiver in the spring before moving him back to corner in the fall. Dude is a potential first rounder at corner
Offense going to be cooking with the returning talent and transfers if the OL can be something better than complete shit this year
Jake Scott has always been my BFF so it makes sense but in no ways would I be a fan I would never ever put that curse on UGA
BOB likely gone, Golding who knows. I think the majority of us would be very surprised if he was canned, sadly.
People keep saying shit like this.. he's already landing #1 classes so he isn't going to recruit any better. Maybe pollack will motivate him to fire those dipshit coordinators.
We’ve p much accepted that if they aren’t both gone, the run is over. BoB seems certain to be out, but I guess Pete has vids of Nick snorting coke off his own weiner or something.
The skill of the offensive personnel covered for deficiencies in offensive scheme, defensive execution, and overall player development. This was most evident in our second game against y’all when we lost JaMo and it then became almost impossible to move the ball. There’s just too much inconsistency in performance and execution for what we have available and that’s the crux of the issue.
Is Saban just keeping his bum coordinators around because he's sick of his good ones leaving for HC jobs? The way Lane left might've broken him.
he really just doesn't fire people. Usually the turnover is so frequent that he doesn't have to, but this is a rare time where he's 1) made a bad hire and 2) been too much of a pussy to drop the hammer.
That's very fair, but we were also two snaps away from losing 4 games (Texas and aTm). And Saban is all about "the standard"... and that standard has slipped. Particularly defensively. For me, the most alarming thing would be to stand pat while that goes on. He's always been a step ahead and that would be a pretty major red flag.
I'm not sure Bama had the personnel on offense to exploit us on the edges like Ohio State or even LSU.
yeah I have to say, beating fucking KSU has somehow put a lot of shine back on a disappointing season... A lot of people (not as much on tmb) have tried to gloss over the entire year just because we played up to our ability for 3 quarters for the first time all year. I guess for some it's a small sign that maybe we're not as far off as it seemed at some point during the year?
Y'all had a top 10 defense by basic metrics & top 5 defense by a lot of advance metrics. lol quit fucking crying
Bama needs to accept that Saban is, in fact, mortal and that he's in the final years of his time there. It's natural for people to slow down, be more hesitant to a fault, and make more mistakes in their twilight years than they did in their prime. Saban in his prime took Bama from middling back to the mountaintop and kept them there for a decade. Saban in his twilight means settling for... *check's notes* ten-twelve win seasons, relative dominance, and only the occasional SEC and national title. thoughts and prayers
you're right. I guess when we have the highest paid coaches, and arguably the most talented roster in the game, we should be perfectly fine with essentially finishing fourth in the SEC. We should be fine giving up 50 to Tennessee, our defensive play against that LSU offense, and giving up nearly 8 yards a carry to lowly Auburn who has zero threat of completing a forward pass. Not to mention what Ewers was doing to us...
We’re working on getting Saban off his beta blockers. Once that’s done we can expect 5 titles in the next 6 years.
A lot of people are saying Alabama is the sick man of the SEC. Not me, of course. But it is definitely out there.
