He’s good friends with a good friend of mine (and fellow HS head coach) that he played with at Arkansas. His accent and his drinking habits have not changed. No word on his nose candy habits
Crying about the proposed 3 permanent opponents of Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee. 3 teams they already play every year
Can believe we're going to have 50% of our seasons without massive traditional rivalries....especially when there is a blatantly obvious solution
I'm sure there are more, but SEC is choosing to kill all of these rivalries UGA/Tennessee UGA/USC Florida/LSU Florida/Tenn UT/Bama Bama/LSU Auburn/UGA LSU/Auburn Ole Miss/LSU LSU/Arkansas
It was having LSU as third primary rival and having multiple power 5 games scheduled each season after 2024. Those two factors combined would make for a very difficult schedule. And while I wouldn’t mind it as a fan, I do get his point. Historically, Alabama is by far the best program in the SEC. But then there’s a group of 5 schools which are historically above the others in the conference- Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee. We would be the only school who would have to play 3 of the top 6 historically best SEC schools every year. If 2 losses gets you in the expanded playoff, no problem. But if 2 losses knock you out, that’s a tough schedule with adding OOC games against the likes of FSU, Ohio St, and ND.
How could Bama ever survive telling Eastern Illinois and Mercer to fuck off their 24/25 schedule to make it all work. There's just no solution
Wait....they'll contract was gonna be the same for 8 games vs 9? I guess they have rights to all home games, but that's dumb
Pitman clearly has gotten by on that “golly gee shucks” ole boy schtick. Clearly has fooled a lot of people.
wondering who was choice 2 if Briles was the best he could get to be OC for 1st time position coach's head coaching job I am NOT defending Pittman
The SEC will go to 9 games eventually. ESPN is just going to have to pay them more money to do it. Apparently, Tennessee currently also supports 8 games as well. Though if they move to only one permanent instead of three we get Vandy, so I get it
We have one of UNC/NC State/Va Tech/Miami on our schedule through 2034 so we’ll still have 10 P5 games. (Hoping we get that @ Miami in before they inevitably change all this stuff)
CBS said y’all, Tennessee and Ole Miss can’t decide if you’re scared or not. So sounds like y’all are scared too
No idea, but I have to assume so. He was only in Oxford for one semester, but if the numbers are true, he was busy.
Is there an article the details the timeline of the allegations? Only thing I've seen are some summaries
Think the Instagram account was deleted after it started asking for money to help speed up the rape kit test results and started reposting that Renfro was also sexually assaulting male students. All we know on our end is he was removed from the team and the university is investigating. He’s deleted all socials and I doubt he is seen from in these parts again. Hopefully they find out if anyone knew anything and fire everyone if they did if they’re still around. I think the general thought is that there’s very little way that Briles didn’t know something because of the close family connections, but Pittman didn’t. We all hated the Briles hire, hated him while he was here, and it’s a big stain on Pittman for ever bringing that sack of shit to NWA.
