Are they seriously trying to compare a noon kickoff against an unranked team to a top 5 matchup at night? And the newspapers wonder why they are failing...
Catching up on news this morning, and apparently this is Indiana’s second 8-0 start in school history (1967 the other). The 8 game streak ties the longest in school history (1967 and 1945). #Indiana Hoosiers
They last went to the Rose Bowl in 1967, when they finished 9-1 and AP 4, where they lost 14-3 to USC.
I know that it was time for PC to go but this is far, far from Wisconsin football. Is Longo out? How warm is Fickell’s seat? Looks like a complete disaster from the outside. You guys are not good on D.
Longo should've been fired yesterday. Probably the same for DC Tressell. Fickell is getting 8? mil a year for 7 years. Talent wise there's nobody. And for some reason we keep starting shitty Braedyn Block at QB.
both coordinators gotta go all signs point to an eventual termination instead of some sort of extension, but you cant fire him after 2 years with major qb injury issues most discouraging thing about this year is that they looked better coached last season - even with disappointing results, they was still regular evidence of in game adjustments and improved play as games went on
#Oregon Ducks #Penn State Nittany Lions #Indiana Hoosiers #Ohio State Buckeyes Where do you land this week in the first CFP Poll this week and what are your thoughts on the CFP? Oregon will be (1) and is in, barring something unforeseen. Maryland, at Wisconsin, Washington. Ohio State is probably (3) and in if it wins out, maybe in even with a regular season loss. Purdue, at NW, Indiana and Michigan. For Indiana and Penn State, there were significant losses by ACC, Big12 and SEC teams this weekend. Texas AM (10), Iowa State (11), Clemson (11), Pitt (17) and KSU (18) all lost.
not worried about it because I'm pretty sure Penn State is going to lose at least one more game this season.
I don’t care. Win out and we’ll be in, lose again we’ll probably be out. It’ll all take care of itself.
i remain surprised at the lack of respect for indiana in the polls. they haven't played a top team yet (neither has miami) but they're killing everyone. they should be top 10 at minimum and should be in as a one-loss team imo.
I don’t think any one loss team from the B1G will get left out unless the committee just has absolutely no respect for Indiana if they lose to OSU. There just aren’t going to be many one-loss teams left at the end of the season.
It will be a fine storyline for our fans and maybe helps recruiting a touch but I really don’t care about the playoff that much. Would like to win the rest of the games we have this season because they are winnable but really we are not gonna be that competitive once we are there.
I think Indiana comes in fairly high this week in the CFP because the committee knows they can drop the Ohio State-Indiana loser and the winner likely is in.
There is no dominant team this year. Oregon beat OSU by one at home, and you had us in OT or down to a FG shot if you had scored on the goal line. Georgia looked great against Texas, but looked bad against Kentucky and Florida. Miami has no defense. I think the playoff is wide open this year.
I’d love for Penn State to play and beat Notre Dame in the playoff. The worst ND fan I know absolutely trashes Penn State all the time. And while I’m always down for some Penn State bashing I’m going to need you to buck up here and beat them for personal reasons.
Playoffs? Playoffs? Don't talk about... Playoffs? Are you kidding me? Playoffs? We're just trying to win a game.
Indiana’s resume: W vs 3-6 G5 FIU W vs 3-6 FCS Western Illinois W @ 3-5 UCLA W vs 3-6 G5 Charlotte W vs 4-4 Maryland W @ 4-5 Northwestern W vs 5-4 Nebraska W vs 5-4 Washington W @ 4-5 Michigan State Penn State’s resume: W @ 4-4 West Virginia W vs 4-4 G5 Bowling Green W vs 0-8 G5 Kent State W vs 6-3 Illinois W vs 3-5 UCLA W @ 4-5 Southern Cal W @ 5-4 Wisconsin L vs #3 7-1 Ohio State Neither has a ranked win, each have two wins over teams with winning records, Penn State has the one score home loss to a top 5 team.
The committee always picks the team who brings more viewers. The objective criteria are just used to rationalize the choice.
Oklahoma doesn’t bring more eyeball than Ohio State (2018) Cincinnati doesn’t bring more eyeballs than Notre Dame (2021) TCU doesn’t bring more eyeballs than Bama/Clemson (2022)
