It’s all so stupid. There’s zero rules because a court throws out anything the NCAA tries to do the moment someone pushes legal action. Whatever is next can’t come fast enough
Seniors and Jr OL/DL headed to the draft trying to get a 6 figure payday after their team was already eliminated
Exactly right. The second Congress said they’ll rule against anything that will limit student-athlete’s ability to pursue NIL opportunities, all NCAA rules effectively got thrown out the window. All you needed were follow-up lawsuits to tear down each rule one by one.
Don't you get one player from each team you beat? Isn't that how it works? Dylan Fairchild and Jahdae Barron got drafted into the championship game
We’d like a slightly banged up Abdul Carter and a Malachi Starks. Maybe toss in Northern Illinois’s punter
We’re being ranked way too high for the amount of talent we’re losing. 7-10 is much more reasonable, but they want the numbers in front of the names for that week 1 matchup against Texas.
Yep they want 1 v 2 to start the year. Both teams lose a lot. I’d rather be ranked around 8-11. There’s going to be some bumps for Arch.
Everyone is losing a ton. I think it's understandable that people would bank on OSU, Texas and Georgia replenishing the rosters over PSU getting all the way over the hump. Especially in a playoff world where you don't need to be awesome in September and all that matters is making the tournament and playing well in the end.
a final look at the AP poll; preseason, pre bowls, and final rankings 3 of the top 4 in preseason finished that way 2 top 10 teams finished unranked in total 13 of the preseason top 25 finished unranked (5 of them missed a bowl game) final count by conference: ACC - 4 B1G - 5 BXII - 4 SEC - 7 G5 - 4 ND - 1
We lose 8/11 starters on defense—all 4 DL, 1 LB, 3 DB. We lose 6/11 on offense—QB, RB, TE, WR, and both tackles.
Texas loses 8 starters (could say 10 since 2 others started games and/or rotated a lot) on offense — QB, RB, 3 WR (2 of these were the main kick/punt returners), 4 OL, TE. Texas loses 5 starters (could say 10 since 5 others started games and/or rotated a lot) on defense — 5 DL, 2 LB, 3 DB.
So what. I bet the same could be said for Columbus/Ohio State and pretty much all of our future big 10 brothers.
