realized I'd stopped truly paying attention a while back only to look up and see Max in front with an 18 second gap
Max 30 seconds clear of the next non-RB car. Perez 9 seconds clear of 3rd. Another team needs to figure something out bc that's not great to watch.
While there was some good overtaking in the latter half, my eyelids definitely started dropping a bit.
Take aways Thought red bull had the best setup but holy shit didn't think the gap would be that big How did sainz get his ass kicked that bad? What the fuck happened to charles?
Heads up for the new F1 followers who also happen to be Max haters....you're gonna hate next week's race too. If you wince at the sight of orange flairs you may not want to watch.
the reddit engineers saying that Max would have finished 1 to 1.25 minutes ahead of 2nd if he'd started on pole with the pace he had today Peak Hamilton / Merc level dominance...at least Zandvoort will suit Ferrari better so maybe we'll get a better race
I mean, I found it hilarious because it's Alonso. I still think Lewis took accountability for his mistake in the end.
Some of you acting like Lewis was wildly in the wrong after the race when he owned up to the mistake is ridiculous. Also, calling Alonso’s statement accurate is beyond delusional.
Ferrari 100% had the wrong set up on the weekend with the high downforce wing. Even still I think the gap was surprising. Charles having to pit early with the tear away issue meant he had to go thru the DRS train a second time and he never recovered using up the tires. Then lol at the ending.
It’s good he owned up for it. Because it was his fault. Props to him on that. My whole point was just how he acts to questions when his race doesn’t go well.
But it’s part of this sport and why they get paid so much. Also doesn’t mean he has to act like he does.
I agree but he's far from the only one. Principals do it too. They also shouldn't whine as much as they do. But they do.
