At what point do we start talking about Haas becoming the dominate force in F1? Both drivers in the top 10 last week. Both cars in Q3 this week. At this rate, they will be the Constructor's Champions in no time!

 

I don’t think anyone expects him to get better this season. The car is not competitive.

the car is shit which is what mclaren and especially Lando has said all year. It’s not like Lando is putting the thing on the podium with any regularity. Yes Daniel is having another terrible year but he was very good with Renault the year before. I don’t buy that he can’t drive a car anymore.

 

Just heard Danny Ric talking about how the low profile of the car this year is making it harder to be precise on the corners. That would make sense with why we were seeing drivers in all cars losing lap times for going off course.

 

I mean I definitely saw Perez going off there. Can’t believe they aren’t just letting Gasley up to q3 because Checo had a worse banked lap, right?

yeah Seidel early in the year seemed really surprised but said in an interview they just missed on it this year and would do the best they can with upgrades during the year. But it seems even those are done now due to budget cap.

max was very close to limits too

 

Yellow just means slower than his best sector and he was probably purple in both previously. Meaning he was still faster than others there

Green in last sector means his personal best and just shy of leclerc purple

 

I'm still having nightmares from Bahrain of literally everyone setting purple sectors on each lap.

 

I think calling the car shit is a little extreme. Lando was on for a P5 just 5 days ago.

It is a great weekend though for a sprint race. They were banging in excellent times and can recover lost spots tomorrow.

I hope it is a genuine shift in fortune for Merc because I want a three team constructor’s race and a three or four person driver’s race.
