I don't really blame Megan Thee Stallion as much. She's in that entertainment world with paparazzi that are fucking crazy and will do anything. I suppose her team has to always be so defensive. Serena though?! This is a sporting event and I'm sure she knows Sky Sports.
I don’t know if it’s the fact it’s not 6am or that it’s on home soil, but I am fucking amped for this race. Joshua Ray Walker on the anthem also did it for me. LFG.
I think it being the first normal race where people other than team members can be on the grid helps a ton. Just feels like a way bigger atmosphere you can feel through the TV.
Missed the start of the race. Did Mercedes bottle their strategy again? Seems like they wasted Hamilton‘s start.
Don’t understand Merc’s decision right now. My best guess is delay until you can get softs on for speed in the last 15 or so laps? edit: WRONG
This is going to come down to how much Max has been holding back and looking after his tires. Lewis is undoubtedly going to get within DRS it looks like. Then what?! Grab the popcorn!
The engineers who run the numbers and figure out the projections are insane. “It’ll be the last three laps.” Wizards.
Haven’t been too many tracks where it has mattered but I feel like Horner has consistently pantsed Toto on strategy this year
I get not liking Max from a fan standpoint. People are and aren't fans of all athletes for all sorts of reasons but everyone should be happy he's in F1 at this time. If he wasn't, Lewis would have continued to just dominate in every possible way.
Does the track in Austin have a larger capacity than most the others on the schedule? Seems like they’re hitting big on the fan support.
My dad just texted me after watching the Grand Prix and said that we seriously need to get tickets for next year. The agenda is spreading…
Most of the prior races have been limited capacity or smaller venues that don’t bring in 400k in a weekend. America showed up
Think they said you need to be 1.3 seconds faster to make a pass during the race. This was always going to be an undercut race or hope Redbull screws up the strategy.
His water bottle was leaking and they couldn’t fix the issue. Given the heat and humidity that’s a gutsy performance.
My dad, brother, and I were supposed to go to the Indy 500 last year as it was a bucket list thing for him, but got screwed by Covid. I think I’m going to try and talk him into COTA instead. Or maybe both, that seems like the best option.
