I think this is pretty accurate. Really hope the rule changes work as intended between ground effect and updated tires. Of the teams you didn't mention, I do think Aston Martin and Alpine have a chance at gaining or sliding a few spots depending on how lucky they get with the car.
honestly id be screaming like a teenage girl at a justin bieber concert if i was i that car, shit looked absolutely terrifying
Also I’m guessing living out of a suitcase like 35-40 weeks a year at 37 years old probably isn’t as fun as it is when you’re 24. Especially when you essentially have infinite money and access to go and do whatever you want
I hope it’s Aston Martin. But in my bones it feels like Alpine is going to be the team who shits the bed. Especially given the fact they are tossing people off the ship at this moment. Aston Martin spent a shit ton of cash on two top tier engineers. I have faith they figure it out.
Lewis, and Max have their own planes. Lando, Checo, Bottas, the Ferrari guys, and a few others have private jet deals. So the living out of the suitcase thing isn't as bad as it comes across. Especially since most all the drivers have bad ass coaches that they have for all the European races too. I remember sometime earlier this season Lewis did a daily travel log on a back to back week. Lewis flew home right after the race, got home to I believe it was London, maybe Monaco Sunday night, visited the factory in Brackley on Tuesday. Then flew wherever the race was Thursday morning to be there in time for interview. He then stayed on track in his bus. Flew home Sunday after the race. On another back to back he flew from wherever to NY to be there for the met gala the next night. So yeah it sucks, but it probably sucks a lot less when you have access to that type of equipment to get around.
It definitely sucks significantly less for those dudes than it would for you or me, but it would still suck
Mazepin and Strolls father's are billionaires so they've got pj's too. Honestly, I'd bet if you're an F1 driver nowadays and don't have your own jet or at least access to one whenever you need it, you're in the minority.
Agreed in principle, but it's a NICE suitcase. If he'd won WDC this year I think it would be less likely for him to come back, honestly.
Always excited to see the new ones. My favorite livery's (in general, changes slightly from year to year) 1. McLaren 2. Red Bull 3. Mercedes 4. AlphaTauri 5. Williams 6. Ferrari 7. Alpine 8. Aston Martin 9. Alfa Romeo 10. Haas
I hope Haas goes away from the Putin paint job. They had a good looking car before. I think it’s the 18’ car that looked pretty sharp. It’s not in the top tier or anything but it was a nice looking car.
https://www.essentiallysports.com/f...hard-branson-previously-other-details-inside/ Just came across this today. There’s also a video included in the article showcasing what Max has in the garage. I’m very hard
Ugh the interview with him talking about his kids and then his wife saying she thought he was dead. Can't imagine watching that live. Only thing I've watched live like that was Ryan Newman. Thought for sure he was dead. Amazing to see Grosjean walk away.
Even Bayer admits Masi went against FIA regulations. Bayer acknowledged that had the case gone to court,” the judges would have said it’s different in the regulations, he decided that way, so we could just void the result” but that Verstappen would have still been champion had the Abu Dhabi result not stood, due to holding the points lead on countback going into the race.
Dang tough questions out of the gate. Not sure I know enough about the reputations etc... other than what I've seen in the show.
I was just messing around. You should just enjoy this upcoming season and it will come naturally. The Race Podcast is a great way to get more in detail look at the sport and each individual race. Those guys are great. Following F1 on Twitter is also great (would mute them on race day if you can’t watch live) and they provide a ton of fun content.
My initial impressions from just what I've seen from the show: Like: Hamilton Leclerc Sainz Ricciardo Alonso No Opinion either way: Perez Ocon Albon Yuki Latifi Zhou Schumacher Mazepin Norris Russell Dislike: Verstappen Gasly Stroll Vettel Bottas
I think most people that know nothing about F1 and just watch the 3 seasons will come away with a similar list to he above. I just did the same thing and mine was very similar to his. Hamilton comes off very likeable. I get that people that follow the sport closely don't like him bc he won so much but that takes years to build up and the show doesn't really allow that.
This may be way off her but I think Hamilton is like the Tom Brady of F1. Seems like a decent guy but wins so much that people don't like him. Some may have other petty reasons but most people that win as much as Hamilton has aren't super popular.
