Interesting reading the obits. A historically bad owner but a pretty decent guy as far as billionaires go
A mostly shitty owner, but if you're gonna make a gazillion dollars, doing it challenging corrupt and shitty corporations is a better way than most, as a person.
He kept games pretty cheap, and wouldn’t field a team of replacements when they went on strike. He also was cheap. Good and bad
and also made his money suing people who were knowingly feeding poison to people. better than most. with you on good and bad. I don't defend billionares, but he didn't make his billions in like oil.
Fuck him for everything he did to the Nats and I hope he thoroughly enjoyed watching the 2019 World Series and has thought about it every day since while sitting on the pile of money he made off of the Nats org. That being said I'm sure he was a great person.
Dude has been completely incapacitated since like 18. Lol at Nats fan still upset about masn costing the Lerner’s money
Yeah his sons suck ass if anything. Peter did a lot of good things for the community and rams all things considered as a billionaire
I texted one of my best friends who grew up an Orioles fan but became a Nats fan (grew up in DC suburbs) and he more so hates him for keeping baseball out of DC for so long. He did have a masn zinger.
Last night my buddy told me iirc before he came to the angels our friend growing up (since kindergarten) slid into Ohtanis DMs and tried being his interpreter. I'll try to find out the conversation but and how far it went. He's a funny motherfucker so it would've been amazing for us to hear about this meltdown in real time.
I’ll preface this by noting Jesse Rogers is a buffoon and he didn’t exactly report it, but he heavily insinuated he thought it was shohei doing the gambling on his local Chicago radio hit this morning. Has any other reputable reporter made these claims? It seemed super fast and loose when i heard his answer to the hosts generic question about the situation. I’ll try to find a clip when I can
He’s honestly gotten a lot better as a reporter since working more closely with Passan, but he has a lot of clown tendencies. He would constantly get tricked when he was just working the cubs beat.
