Umpiring a game of footy can be really difficult but i've seen some games where the game was over umpired by the ones that matter - the refs. Even i've made errors in my own umpiring as a goal umpire. It's caused me to miss the grade of footy i would have been umpiring in finals. Lack of concentration can happen, to non thinking calls that can happen. With my team - the jets, they've had some poor umpiring decisions being made against them due to the over umpiring. The umpiring department need to get those who have made the bad calls in for some education.
